- Hi friends! Every year I feel like it's a struggle to find new books actually set during Halloween season. Every list I see is mostly the same, so I wanted to make a list of some that may not be as well known. Have you read any of these? Trying to finalize by spooky szn tbr!

This might be the best list ever! Great job!
Wow! What an honor! So happy you enjoyed it🖤🎃
Middle grade is one of my favorite genre. High stakes with kids always get my heart pumping.
Yes!! You know you can always root for the characters
Malicia and Our Wicked Stories sound so good! ✅ added to TBR!
Woohoo!! 🎉🖤🎃
Thanks, I added a couple of these to my TBR.
Yay! 🖤🎃🖤
I loved Maeve Fly! The definition of an unhinged baddie and we love to see it 💅🏻 I’m sure it’s on every other Halloween book list but I really liked Dark Harvest by Norman Partridge (haven’t seen the movie adaptation yet). Pumpkinheads is sooooo cute I can’t 🥰
Haha Yes, I was so down for her! 😂
I read Dark Harvest a couple of years ago. It was my favorite unfortunately. I am def gonna watch the movie this year. I think I may like it that way better!
Literally every time I think of Pumpkinheads I smile lol
Looking up these suggestions available at my library and found a couple of them, love a good Halloween read!
Oh good! I’m glad they had some! 🖤 It’s always so interesting to me how the selections are vastly different from library to library.
Maeve fly is my fav!! I recently got a new car...black challenger with an orange stripe and i named her maeve...bc of her colors and maeve loves halloween and bc theyre both bad asses! I wanted my license plate to be MAEVE but it was taken :(
NO WAY!! That is so iconic omg!!!
I always wonder how ppl end up with good license plate names. I would think all the good ones were taken long ago lol
@@victoriasampley I picture some little old white haired lady named Maeve driving around in her old cadillac with her personalized plate!
Hahaha I love that. She can have Maeve. that’s okay!😂
oh my gatos I love the 'fit and makeup! 😻
Thank you so so much 🥹🥹
I suggest William by Mason Coile. The whole book takes place ON HALLOWEEN day/night. 😄
I recently read it and thought it was a fun read. It is ~200 pages and easy to read in one sitting (which is rare for me). It was a 3.5/5 for me, but I can see how other people could love it even more.
I’m OBSESSED with the cover.
Omg!! I have it checked out right now! I’m filming a sci-fi horror reading vlog this weekend. I had no idea it was set during Halloween! I can’t wait 🙌🏻🎉
oou W1LL1AM is on my TBR! Going to check it out from the library. The synopsis reminds me of BETA by Sammy Scott.. think that one was published earlier this year. I have it but still need to read it.
Have you read the Haunting of Aveline Jones? It's a spooky middle grade and it actually felt spooky! I'm not sure if it's near Halloween, but it's definitely in the fall, in a seaside town in the UK.
I haven’t read it! It honestly sounds like a perfect fall read! I love a spooky middle grade so much!!
I had my libby out and borrowed a bunch. Thank you!
Yay! So glad🎉🖤
You should check out Carrick Glynn by Tony Urban. It's the perfect Halloween book! 🎃👻
Omg thank you! And on KU🎉
New subscriber - loving your vibe and the love of Halloween!! 🎃
I ADORE Maeve Fly!
I love Ray Bradbury and as a kid two of my favourite books were Halloween Tree and and Something Wicked This Way Comes. Something Wicked is more about October than Halloween specifically but i adore the vibes.
Every year I tell myself I will read these and then I don’t 😅 I just realized how short Something Wicked This Way Comes is and it has no wait at my library. I just checked it out! This year is the year lol
Blood Sugar is a surprisingly good book. Kind of experimental in its voice. It's gross, and unsettling, but also heartbreaking and powerful.
That’s great to hear! 🙌🏻 I’m hoping one of my libraries adds it soon!
All Hallows by Christopher Golden!
Yes! I read it Halloween week last year. 🎃 I liked it but a bit too much domestic drama for me.
Great video! Love your eyeshadow! 😀
🥹🖤 thanks so much!
