Life off tour hasn’t slowed down much for Taj. A few months after we left him from our adventures down the coast of WA for the Australia Part, he hit us up to let us know he had chased a swell to the Mentawais on a last minute whim and got the best HT’s and Macaronis he’d ever had. It was a solo mission and luckily our friend Dav @fox_in_soks was on hand to jump in and document the adventure. It wasn’t a big team trip, no photoshoots, no schedule to adhere to, no expectations…just an old fashioned strike mission. Needless to say, TB nailed it. wow . the smile on the last wave says it all. Most mere mortals would be wide-eyed and open-mouthed with adrenalin. How that guy never won a world championship is beyond comprehension. although he did have some incredible surfers to beat.

Ahh there were only 4 surfers in title races back then. Maybe 5 if you include Occy. It's no wonder Kelly won so many. If you compare Taj and KS I reckon you'd find that many aspects of Taj's surfing were better

Taj is such an all round guy. He rips and did pretty well for the 100+ years he was on tour (I know he didn't win but think about who he was up against, KS, AI, MF, JJF etc) He loves the bigger waves, just look at the fucking grin slapped all over his mug in every barrel. And if that wasn't enough he would probably be the funnest guy on tour along with Wilko & Parko to have a night on the piss with! How this clip has less than 14k views is beyond me.
