Physics student at TUM here. Don't be fooled into thinking the program is "easier" because there are no admission requirements. Most of these programs will have pretty strict exam regulations like GOPs (Grundlagen und Orientierungsprüfung) within their first semesters which will require you to pass all exams of all modules within 2 tries or else you completely fail the program. It's easy to get into but hard to stay in these programs
Good stuff man, subscribed! Currently learning german online, do you thinkit's feasible to get decent proficiency until the start of the semester? Would you take the risk of applying early (without decent german) and learn until the semester starts?
@@ATMMedia-yi8ib there are plenty programs that taught entirely in English in many German universities. You'll study language as well (many unis offer German language classes as elective). You'll screw your GPA if your German is not at least B2.
Bit difficult to say for me, as I am a native German speaker. But from what I know you have to prove your Language skills in the application. However if the program is taught in English don't worry. In Germany you can get around with English only :)
Thank you, Markus. One question for you. I've heard that if you apply to a few unis (as a foreigner I'm planning to do just that), as soon as one uni admits you it will greatly reduce the likelihood that other uni will give you an admission (even if you didn't enroll yet). Is it a common practice, do unis share such information? Should i not risk by applying to a few unis at the same time?
I have never heard of this before and from what I know it is not true. I would apply to as many as you want :) At least at TUM (and I guess every University) they have a formula to evaluate you and if you get enough points you'll get admitted. Whether you get accepted at other universities or not is not part of this formula :)
Thank you! I have heard that info from friends from Germany, but they went to study about 30 + years ago. Great. It's a big relief I can apply to many without appearing to the admissions as not serious student.

don't know where you heard that. Apply anywhere you want and choose where to go based on who accepted you. You can always decline offers from unis
