If you want to use a mic to get a more natural sound like the DPA 4099 one, I recommend the Ovid System CC 100... it's only 50 bucks and it sounds amazing.
in my opinion DPA4099 is the best however it should not compare with others because it's a mic ,not a pickup ,in my opinion microphones are always sounds better than pickups.but for the rest i would say :Yamahiko(low) and the realist
DPA 4099 sounds fantastic, no surprise. Yamahiko also sounds great. I am surprised at how good the BP-100 sounds as well--have not heard good things about that pickup, but it sure does sound great here. Don't care for any of the others. Excellent playing! Sounds great
How were you able to change the pickups so fast while playing? I didn't see any pauses in the video recording indicating such changes - it seemed seamless, to me.
Were you recording the pickup directly or mic'ing the signal through an amp? I'm not fond of the sound of any piezo, I prefer the DPA4099 (mic or not).
Of course the DPA is the best, since is a mic....But really the best of pickups ifor me is the Yamahiko “low only”. Many people says this pickup has almost unmenagable hot signal, and difficoult to prevent distortion...Did you had this kind of problem with Yamahiko low only?
Maybe it's you and not the pickup, but it sounds like you're playing the Realist on your bass, in the case. I have heard it sound much more competitive in other demos, and its actually a quality piece. Some of the others sound equally as bad and totally unconvincing. I'll skip the rest of the review and buy the latest version of the Fishman FCL (Full Circle) pickup. 😕

I think the Fishman pickup sounded the best! The DPA is definitely a close second!

First time I've ever heard the Fishman BP-100 sound good, usually has a terrible tone in my opinion

Is the the David Gage Life line or the Reallist? - the Life Line is way better in my judgement - and the best ever pick up for bowing.

ほぼ発売以来、30数年来のお付き合いのフィッシュマンBp-100が
生音と混ざった(1:1)際には最良かも
ちゃんと調整された良い状態の楽器だと
Bp-100は本当に良い音で鳴ってくれます。
特性上、(取り付け方法がバッチリだと)
立ち上がりが速くラインが見えやすく意外にふくよかで太い出音。
ただ、調整があさっての残念な楽器の場合は最悪で狂気ですが、、、
因みに全てのピエゾPUには漏れなくバッファ(ピエゾの数メガΩ→キロΩに変換(ローインピーダンス化))を懸けるためのプリアンプは必須科目です。
プリアンプをかけないであれこれ言うのは間違いかと。
(アンプ自体がピエゾPU入力対応型(入力インピーダンスが数メガΩ)の場合は別)
