    I’m so sorry you lost your mom so young. She was young, and you were too. My mom was 52 yrs old when she passed, and she died September 19th. This video brought back so much emotion, and she’s been gone 24 years. I have just found your channel, but thank you for sharing your journal. Your journal experience, has made me want to pick up journaling again.

    Wow, your journal is beautiful. Seeing it, I instantly know we would be good friends! My heart goes out to you. You honor your mother by continuing this art form and sharing the passion you both shared with others. As a therapist, I am always recommending journaling for emotional processing and savoring positive moments to cultivate joy and gratitude. I lost my father suddenly in 2015. Life will never be the same, but it can still be beautiful. You have inspired me to create a journal just for preserving my memories of him, and letters I write to him on holidays and anniversaries. Thank you! I wish you continued healing.

    I was randomly searching for journaling guidance here on YT and I came across this video. This is exactly what I needed. I am thinking about starting a couple different kinds of journals and I feel like this video can help me sort through what I was visualizing in my head. It is also helping me feel more comfortable about going with an open and freeform style so I can include pictures, clippings, stickers, doodles, etc. whenever I feel inspired to do so.
    Thank you for making this video. I especially appreciate when you spoke about the loss of your mother and showed how you are including her in your journaling. My heart goes out to you and I am so sorry that you are going through such a difficult loss. I was thinking of including notes about lost loved ones in one of my journals, so your video feels like a confirmation that I should do that.
    Thanks again for sharing this with us! I hope you are having a wonderful day. ☺

    Your way of journaling most resembles mine because I like a little visual interest, but I'm more interested in the writing. Only thing where we're different is that I'm a little categorized, so I have specific journals for different things. I have a Mourning Journal dedicated for my mom. I have an Insight Journal which is kinda like a commonplace book. I have a Planner Journal for regular life tidbits. I have a Financial Journal for keeping track of financial struggles and goals. I have a Reading Journal too. Just like grouping by interest. Enjoyed your video.

  • @poisonlady1965
    @poisonlady1965 Рік тому

    I am the memory keeper in the family as most are just happy with pics on the phones…which is fine too. I did have one sister get upset because I had “early access” to go through our mom’s pics about five years before she passed away/. I only took my pics but left a couple of extra when possible in case any of them wanted them. I left all pics that were theirs although the few extras were nabbed by me. My mom knew i was a memory keeper and feared dying but wanted the memories to continue.

    Is this journal a larger one? I recall watching a video where the person ordered 8"x10" (approx) moleskin journals and challenged herself to document each day. That seemed like a fantastic idea (although I don't do much in one day) so I ordered the 3-pack of that size moleskin journals and have done absolutely......nothing. Nor with my Hobonichi Cousin Techo....or ummm....the TN (two sizes!!!!) Anyway, wanted to see if you were the person referenced above. I so enjoy your journals.

    What is the difference in this journal and your regular journal? Is this journal a composition notebook? If so do you glue pages together? I am sorry for your loss. I loss my mom this past May. It is tough, but I know she is with God now.

    Journaling is one thing, writing a magazine is another. Too much non- journal stuff.

    hi ! have you ever had issues finishing a journal ? i’m 100 pages through a 200 page journal and finally found my style / lay out. but i hate how the beginning looks and i want to start all over again :’) but i feel like i should ride it out to finish it fully. but im not sure and trying to think of ways to fill pages quicker ! 🤍

      I would recommend staying in it because it’ll be a beautiful display of how your style has grown and changed once you finish it. Every stage of the process is a beautiful reflection of you! We all started somewhere ☺️
