I’m new to this Salto party after just buying the pattern. Thanks for the sewalong. Your tops look great. I love the flowery one especially. Can’t believe you can get such a sweet top out of less than a metre!
I bought this pattern thinking it would be quite a simple sew as I am not that experienced but when I looked at the instructions that came with the pattern I wasn't going. to bother. I think you are so clever to have worked out how to construct the armbands.. I will have to sew along with your tutorial and fingers crossed it will look ok. Your instructions are clear it's me that's not sure.
Thank you for making this video. As a relatively new sewist I am always unsure of trying a new pattern but having watched your video I know that I can tackle this. Love the sunflower fabric and how special that your son purchased it for you.
So pleased you like it and hope it helps with you Salto Sew. I've added time stamps now so should be a bit easier to just jump to a specific section instead of watching the whole thing again.
Loving this sew along. Im giving it a go but I think ive cut it out wrong. The front body piece and the front neck piece, the notches don't line up. I dont know if I should have cut the front piece on the centre fold line . Any ideas? Many thanks
Hi I am going to sound really stupid now but when you cut out the front pattern piece do you cut it on the fold using the full width of the pattern, I am going to sew the version without buttons down the front but I didn't know whether you had to fold it over where it says centre front before cutting...and use all the pattern width when you sew the button version Sorry if this doesn't make sense.There's always one isn't there :-( Help! x
Hi that’s a very good question. You are meant to fold it back but I just cut it the full width as I have a generous bust. So if your a flat b fold over or if your a generous c leave it full width. Hope this helps x

No Maison Fauve are currently working through their pattern portfolio and creating them as pdfs. Apparently it’s quite an expensive process so this one is paper only atm x
