All these Children of Bodom comments and I'm sitting here just thinking, fuck those guys Whispered is freakin' rad in their own ways. Great combo of Melodic Death and Power metal, the oriental elements just add to it. Fantastically unique
Whispered evolved to new levels later, far beyond almost any other band in the genre. COB has never been good enough to talk about when discussing a band like Whispered lol.

Whenever i read USAGI YOJIMBO (Stan Sakai) or other samurai comic books - such as LONE WOLF AND CUB - Whispered is a perfect band as a background music. 😺👍

the vocalist does sound pretty similar to alexei but considering their from the same country i.e have the same cultural influences and accent its not overly surprising not to mention they both sing melodic death metal but the music itself is clearly not stealing anyones ideas i mean who else sings melodic death samurai metal
@Thaibebop I think that Norway is really a massive machine which spews Mettalium into its waters which feeds the Northern European countries which are also really massive machines in disguise and they convert this Mettalium enriched water into Moxygen which is Mettalium enriched oxygen and the machines form a Moxygen Barrier which ensures that the Moxygen may not spill across the world and is confined within them and that is my theory as to why all these amazing bands come from Northern Europe.

@gabi326jjk Of course they do, I am not that stupid. Many of my favorites come from Northern Europe, that is all. I have many favorites from other places as well. Hell, I am old enough that I remember all the metal bands came from east coast of America. Metal is everywhere thankfully.

This sounds like Children of Bodom. Now before someone starts to flame me wondering why everyone compares any melodeath or even folk metal with COB...hear me out. They sound like Children of Bodom's first three albums, they sound how COB should sound now. Add the Samurai theme to their music and the Japanese musical influence...This band is amazing...
