By the way, since you seemed to love this, they do a cover of "The Greatest Show" from The Greatest Showman that is really spectacular. Also, Ben Platt who performed this did a cover of the Pentatonix original song "Can't Sleep Love."

Probably because Scott is my personal favorite of the group and I love him, especially in this I think he’s so good! He killed it! It’s one of my favorite musicals. Also you should definitely look at Ben Platts version of this song he’s amazing
Just subscribed after watching a number of your insightful reactions. Love PTX and have seen them in concert in Denver. They are going on a tour in June 2021 but unfortunately it is all overseas. Hopefully we can get Covid under control in America now that we have strong leadership and PTX can tour in America also. Plan on watching your Ben interview. Keep up the good work.
The Europe 2021 tour is the delayed 2020 tour, but they should be announcing what would have been the U.S. 2020 tour for probably this fall or maybe next spring. I wouldn’t be surprised if that 2021 Europe tour gets delayed again.
This is beautiful with Pentatonix. I like VoicePlay’s version even more though! It’s together with Kurt Hugo Schneider (who plays some keyboard in there, but it’s mostly a Capella as usual). Only their 2nd tenor Eli has the lead, though. I recommend it, it’s so beautiful!
Seems like you like this song a lot...the original is actually the opening number of a musical, Dear Evan Hanson, and you might like to see a version or two done by people playing/have played the part of Evan (main/title character, singing this song, originally played by Ben Platt). As a note, the character has some pretty strong social anxiety, so if you see a live performance video and wonder why a professional Broadway actor seems so nervous, it's because they're playing the part! But yeah, musically I love a lot of what goes on in the song, and how Pentatonix approached it as well!

I loved their performance. But this is one of the very few times that I felt the original was better. Perhaps that was simply the difference between a solo and a group. More importantly, I almost always DO prefer the PTX version to the original.
I'm am not a fan of this song in general, but they did an incredible job with it, and this arrangement. I can not wait for your interview with Ben Bram.
