Yeah, I live in America too, and am a massive Westlife fan (they're seriously the only thing I'll listen to), but its really hard not being able to listen to their songs on the radio, or go to their concerts. Plus, I have to get all their albums and the like shipped from overseas! :(

yea i'm a US lifer and it totally stinks because i hadnt heard of them until last year so i missed them in LV and trying to break the U.S. :( but i totally heard the music of "world of our own" on one of those "fabulous life of..." shows on MTV. needless to say it made my day

Where I come from,Canada, the 90s boy band competition was mostly about if you were an N'SYNC fan or a BSB fan.I only heard a Westlife song once on an old music show called 'The Hit List'. It was World of Our Own. Not many people talked about it since it wasen't as upbeat as others. I kinda liked it, but again, I wanted to see some dancing. I think it would be really difficult for Westlife to break America.
I've have all of their last 7 albums and I'm waiting to receive the 8th by mail soon. I'm Canadian and I love Westlife. I want them to tour Canada so bad, but I don't think that might happen anything soon.

I like Westlife, but I've only discovered them in the past several months. To my knowledge, they only have two American hits: Swear It Again and Flying Without Wings. The latter was only made popular due to American Idol Season 2 winner, Ruben Studdard.

A lot of girls(like myself) were looking for up-beat songs and boy bands that jump around like N'SYNC. I just think that boy bands that are not from america have a harder time making it into America. They still don't get noticed a lot and they dont need a lot of bodyguards around them like other boybands/bands do.
