Oasis is a class apart. Was lucky enough to see them in Liverpool in 2008. Noel Gallagher said that for him U2 are the best band in the world. I think Oasis is far better than U2 and I am Irish
Some great indie bands from the 90's. Oasis, Blur, The Verve (Richard Ashcroft on his own was a genius) I think Richard Ashcroft actually wrote a couple of songs for Oasis. Oasis's first two albums (What's the Story and Definitely Maybe) were like greatest hits albums on their own. I think they broke up in 2009 because Noel got fed up with Liam messing about. Think what puts me off U2 is Bono, it's all about him. None of the Oasis members tried to stand out. They just done the gig and were brilliant.

I'm studying English with Oasis songs and I really don't understand when some people say Britsh English is more difficult than American English. For example, listening Oasis songs I think it's is totally easy to improve my listening skills. Does someone agree with me? But, there's a point. Sometimes I watch interviews with Liam Gallagher from Oasis and then I can say: I don't fuckin' understand anything!
And to think Noel didn’t know chords, etc. He says he wrote those first two albums “by feel”. He use to say Gem and the other trained musicians in Oasis would tell him what chords they were, etc. That’s incredible when u think about it. I know he gets slagged off for copying people but he had to learn how to play, arrange, write lyrics, etc. If it was that easy, everybody would do it. He worked at his craft but he’s an amazing talent.....
You know what, even tho Liam and Noel don't want to be back together in oasis, I'm glad, I'm glad that all this amazing.music was released before the band split up, I wouldn't have oasis any other way (except live tours lol)
