Let me tell you all , who needs Disney , Netflix , amazon prime , ect : when we have Kyle and Greg of RR buildings . you need your own show. all the best from Turkey... 😀👍🏽👊🏽
Telegraph! Same grammatical use as working with flooring. When you lay down some types of flooring you add an underlayment (solids or liquids) to prevent any defects or designs from a previous floor from telegraphing through to the new finished floor. This is a great build series guys and I know you knew that but wanted the interaction from the comments. Nice job.
I agree with telegraph in the comment below. I work in industrial paints and we use that term a lot. If you have a defect in the base layer, it telegraphs through other coats and grows on you.
This roof looks amazing. Makes me want one just like it. Days later... Finds out retail cost in Massachusetts... Throws up in mouth. lol Nice work none-the-less.
Hey there Kyle: As someone who grew up using a grandfather’s and great-grandfather’s tools, you’ve been so much help to me on what’s new and good in the modern era (including your recommendation on the Cyrusher Montta, resulting in me getting THE last one available in the US for my wife, while I had to get the similar XF-800) that I thought I would return the favor. I watched some of these all at once, so can’t remember which one had you messing with your broken tape measure, but I was using a Milwaukee that had been a gift until I happened to walk past a display in Lowe’s and saw a Craftsman that looked like it, but said MADE IN USA on it. I bought the 30’ version, took it home, and extended it out more than 12 feet horizontally!! (They advertise 14’ and it will probably do that.). It’s Craftsman 30’ x 1 1/4” model CMHT37570. Best one I’ve ever had, so I immediately bought another. Very comfortable to use. If you get one, I’m sure you’ll love it!
It's looking amazing guys! Love the color you choose! I got my garage doors installed and I'm still working on all the inside wiring. So much to do, there just isn't enough time in the day to get everything done! Take care and don't work too hard.
You’re the kind of builder I want to be! Not be the one who is under time pressure, has to work overtime, without much pride in the work. But I guess a second income is a key to being able to do something like this. (apart from this, since this is your own shop)
The great thing about this channel is not only they do great work but Kyle’s ability to talk and work at the same time and how will he explain the process bravo 👏
You guys are awesome , as a manufacture I often wondered on the last video why you did not put the gable cleat on before the roof panels - where all of your cleat nails would have been covered by the panels - instead of tacking them into the face of that nice fascia board. I understand that your cleat screws will never be seen . Also do you think snap Z should sell solid Z pre cut for the guys ordering 10’ length’s and cutting them on site. After watching this video I did answer my own question. You were struggling on fitment . If you nailed it on the roof under the panel it would give you more flex for the fascia trim over nailing the face and having. 0 play on adjusting to the solid placed Z bar on the roof side I also don’t ever comment so when I do I Maxwell vent a bit . I know those snips are “good enough for the girls you go with” For your precise cutting and snipping like I do WHY don’t you invest in Malco M2006,2007 snips that are precision made and throw those other reds and greens into the community donation box I did notice you were using Malco’s 6” seamer’s they only recommend for 28 gauge if you pre bent the ridge before installing you would get a perfect 90 rather then beating it after with a beautiful Stiletto From the guy that cares …
The term you are looking for with your screw heads sticking up vs your flat head nails is….”stands proud”. As in….’if we use screws it will cause the surface to stand proud where every screw is located’
A little magnetic torpedo level works well for making the the gable trims level. If you're screwing the top it will suck it down a bit so adjust for that.
red is for the right hand and is meant to be cut from right to the left. green is for the left hand and cuts from the left to the right. yellows cut straight.
Not a fan of the end detail on the Rake. I think just simply boxing off the end would look cleaner. Rather than having it stair step nice work though. That trim work is on point
This a beautiful job ……. But I would love to know what Kyle would charge someone to do this roof to this level of detail. It seems like it has taken a lot of labor to achieve the finished product. I doubt very much there are very many contractors out there doing this level of workmanship with this product. I would love to hear anyone else thoughts on this. I love the work that Kyle and Greg do but I think I would be very frustrated if I hired anyone else to do a building like this and did not get the job these guys do. I would probably be fighting with the contractor and telling him to watch these videos. Then they would tell me they want to charge 30 to 40% more.
You’re a mathy guy, so I think you would appreciate the mathy word for your protrusion, transposing through. But I also agree with the others saying telegraph through.
Incredible quality, I love watching your build. It would be amazing if someone like you could help @JaredCrocker get a quality standing seam roof on his tiny home build. He’s a great guy with a blossoming channel.
I'm not a professional, but try ho do my own stuff and this was an amazing video with details for finishing this trim work. Did you buy the rake trim yourself or buy it? What brand/company are these roof panels.
Let me tell you all , who needs Disney , Netflix , amazon prime , ect : when we have Kyle and Greg of RR buildings . you need your own show. all the best from Turkey... 😀👍🏽👊🏽
I've learned more from your videos then 12 years of school. Smartest builder I've ever seen I appreciate the videos brother
Wow thanks man
@@RRBuildings been watching for years. Your attention to detail has made me a better concrete finisher cause the way you care about your work
I agree except I learned a lot of math in high school.
12 years of high-school? You should have learned a lot.
@@lwadeallen😂😂
Just want to say this is by far my favorite show on the planet. Love that we get to watch yall build!!!!

Kyle and Greg you both work so professionally all the time.
Agreed! For some reason I’ve got a song stuck in my head… “Greg just sang a song and now I want to punch his face…”😂
I agree with telegraph in the comment below. I work in industrial paints and we use that term a lot. If you have a defect in the base layer, it telegraphs through other coats and grows on you.
I love the black facia and trims, it looks great. 🤘🤘
I appreciate your attention to the details vs. speed to finish. Well done.
Kyle, you need a Malco 6” hand seamer for the wider bends. Crisp and clean results knowing the hand seamer spans the entire length.
I've learned a lot watching this series, thank you
This roof looks amazing. Makes me want one just like it. Days later... Finds out retail cost in Massachusetts... Throws up in mouth. lol Nice work none-the-less.
I always say that things will telegraph through, like a nail sticking up under a vinyl floor plank
I was thinking imprint or transfer
I've heard Transpose
Great craftsmanship! And you guys enjoy your work and each other!

It looks amazing. I thought a house with a metal roof and after watching you for years all I see is how my roof was done without the RR love and care.
You are very crafty with those snips. Id surely mess something up lol. Roof is looking great and the detail u guys do is 2nd to none.
It's looking amazing guys! Love the color you choose! I got my garage doors installed and I'm still working on all the inside wiring. So much to do, there just isn't enough time in the day to get everything done! Take care and don't work too hard.
Ghosting is the term that gets my vote!

Seems complicated but ends of looking good!! Good job Kyle & Greg.
Are you kidding me???? It looks GREAT!!!

From the guy that cares …
FIFTY episodes?!?! 🤯🤯🤯 lovin it
Totally love your attention to detail.
Gregs poor face...😂 FYI, this structure looks GREAT!
PROUD. The word you were looking for
Looks outstanding. Going to be a real nice building.
Your new RR HQ is looking good, Kyle.
artists at work 💎🙏👍🇹🇹
Love the precision!
The term you are looking for with your screw heads sticking up vs your flat head nails is….”stands proud”. As in….’if we use screws it will cause the surface to stand proud where every screw is located’
Looks great!
Maybe the word you’re looking for is “telegraph”? Nice roof!
Excellent job as always. I'm learning a lot.
Looks great guys! Good work shows and will last longer for sure!
Love your detailed work!
You have done a super excellent job 👍🏻
Good afternoon Great weekend 👍✌️🙏🙏
Printing? Seems like appropriate term for what you would call a fastener that shows through your metal trim or roofing.
A little magnetic torpedo level works well for making the the gable trims level. If you're screwing the top it will suck it down a bit so adjust for that.
When are you going to start on the inside of the building? Waiting for some interior tips!
The roof looks super great. Need to the porch down first.
Your roof is awesome!
You just keep raising the bar.
I think you are the first carpenter I've seen that can do a good job running flashing.
Former roofing contractor.
Looks amazing great content
I believe the word you were looking for just after four minutes is "proud".
Amazing and perfektly.
Hi guys love the channel. Do you think about adding solar panels for electricity?
We always used the term 'reveal' .
The nails will telegraph out though the metal strip.
Wow, thats quite a bit of time on the one rake trim.
Transfer or project are the words you are looking for.
Lads 3:50 screw heads shine through on flashing, down under we say they stand out like dog balls
Keep Going .
Super Jungs
have you ever used Tek lath screws?
very low profile head
red is for the right hand and is meant to be cut from right to the left. green is for the left hand and cuts from the left to the right. yellows cut straight.
they have nothing to do with left hand or right hand
Somebody paid attention in geometry class.
Do you guys use the grk rss screws. If so what length?
Lapped your Z bar backwards fellas.
Print, that's the word.
'telegraphing' is the synonym I think you're looking for...
Not a fan of the end detail on the Rake. I think just simply boxing off the end would look cleaner. Rather than having it stair step nice work though. That trim work is on point
Broadcast!
Why did you use a different rake trim than other builds? I've seen you use a trim that went directly to the 1" bend up without the Z-bar.
Those roofs aren't standing seam.
DINTED.. simplify. Or dimpled..lol
Protruding
Telegraph is the word you are looking for lol
This a beautiful job ……. But I would love to know what Kyle would charge someone to do this roof to this level of detail. It seems like it has taken a lot of labor to achieve the finished product. Ain't nobody got time for a "weird burr"
🔥
A rivet is a fastener too.
The word you're looking for is "Telegraph". IE: The screw head Telegraphs through the surface
Protrude? 3:50
The word is broadcasting
Rock paper scissors to see who wins and what gets done
You’re a mathy guy, so I think you would appreciate the mathy word for your protrusion, transposing through.
But I also agree with the others saying telegraph through.
No fasteners then puts a nail in goodbye
No exposed fasteners, he clarified that many many times. No EXPOSED fasteners
Thing is.. your craftsman is overboard for your own mind. As long as it don't leak and it looks good.
Notice you are wearing gloves on this one!😊
3:47 telegraph, translate through?
Porch, Greg wins.
👍👍👍👍👍💯
I can barely get people to spend money on standing seam little alone the labor on something like this
I think the word you were looking for is telegraphing.
👍✌
I think the word you're looking for is telegragh
😃👍🏼👍🏼👊🏼👊🏼
Telegraphing
👍👌🇩🇪👌👍
Telegraph
You both do very nice work. Kyle should lose the beard.
you will happy to know it was shaved tonight
This lead guy is annoying as hell, what a dork
Incredible quality, I love watching your build. It would be amazing if someone like you could help @JaredCrocker get a quality standing seam roof on his tiny home build. He’s a great guy with a blossoming channel.
Awesome detailing! Kyle, I think the word you were looking for was "telegraphing."
We use the term 'ghosting'.
Or "printing".
I'm not a professional, but try ho do my own stuff and this was an amazing video with details for finishing this trim work. Did you buy the rake trim yourself or buy it? What brand/company are these roof panels.
Loving this project! Awesome detail!
Good use of stock,Greg
I am building a dream workshop too right now!
