I think he's versatile on a production and stylistic level. My last comment was pretty hyperbolic, I admit, but what I meant was that of the songs I've encountered on UA-cam, they're representative of prototypical examples of regional rap and hip-hop. They're not repetitive. "Letter to Dr. Dre" displays an undeniably West Coast sound (Dr. Dre from late 90's, Scott Storch style piano riffs, etc.), while "Windows Down" is representative of rap and production from Houston (screwed and chopped hooks). Albums containing songs with varied production don't bore me. I appreciate KLG's music because I think it's obvious that he puts in the time observing regional styles of hip-hop and producing songs in such a way that they don't come off as copies, but homages to precursors (Dre, UGK, Tupac, or even more contemporary rappers like TI).
