You Will Be Hated - July 12th 2024

Mt 10:16-23 - "Brother will hand over brother to death,
and the father his child;
children will rise up against parents and have them put to death.
You will be hated by all because of my name,
but whoever endures to the end will be saved.
When they persecute you in one town, flee to another.
Amen, I say to you, you will not finish the towns of Israel
before the Son of Man comes.”
Jesus tells us that we will be hated by all because of his name. Thus, we should not be surprised or overcome with fear if/when we are persecuted in one way or another. Let us pray on Jesus' words and use them as a spur to be closer to him and to rely on him for strength.

Who could have thought that priests would be persecuted by their own bishops and bishops by the Vatican. Pray for canceled clergy.
