I got these darts last tuesday. I just needed these darts because Dirk lives in my home town. The darts are suiting me very well. I've played with some grippier darts in the past but they tend to stick to my fingers to much, so these are much better. Balance is wonderful as well. The first day these darts came in, I trew a 180. I think I found the right darts. Happy days.

Nice dart,fun darter to watch as well,the man has a sense of humor,unlike many other darters.Also i would wish you a healthy 2021,and a quick return to a normal life.

My first dart with a little more weight at the front, and i like it. I could use a bit more grip so thinking about the Shot Viking Raven atm. The grip was good in the beginning, but wears off pretty fast imo. If you are thinking about buying these, don't pay the extra for the coating and go for the regular ones. Throwing these for a good month now and the nice purple is almost completely gone. Great review as always!
Yeah from front grip they were decent, played with them a little more after though and find they work a little better holding just front of centre but not right to the nose :) Colour is not going to last I dont think, its more down to the grip as it will scrape from the points as it has a little already :)
Great review as always! I have the BULL's Phantom darts, which is what Dirk's darts are. When comparing the dimensions, the Phantoms are exactly the same as the Dirk's branded darts, but for some reason BULL's advertise the Phantoms as 80% Tungstem, and Dirk's darts as 90% Tungsten. It must be a marketing thing .... Similar to you, I find the grip less grippy when throwing. In fact, it is quite slippery for me! So I am in the process of removing the micro grip to make it more of a smooth finish with simple rings and smooth section in the middle. I did that with my BULL's Mensur Suljovic darts, and it worked great! The process is as follows: - Soak in nail polish remover to remove the paint in the grooves (the Phantoms have a blue paint in the grooves): - Perform home made DNA: heat the barrel on the gas kitchen stove. I do this with aluminium stem in my drill, and the barrel screwed at the end, and I let the drill rotate super slowly so the barrel can heat up evenly. Do this for about 5-6min. This creates a blue/purple DNA finish. - Then soak the darts in white vinegar for several hours. When removed, the darts have more like a silica finish with a bronze, brown-ish colour. All this was done to somewhat reduce the strength of the microgrip. - And here comes the actual removal. Similar to the DNA, the barrel is screwed in to an alu stem which is inside an electric drill, while rotating at high speed, I sand the barrel down with: P60 P80 P120 P240 P320 P400 P800 P1200 P1500 P2000 The last four being wet sand papers and done under running water. I tried the sanding straight away without doing the soaking and DNA stages, but it did not work well. It seems like the grip was quite strong and the sandpapers could not sand it down .... That's why I introduced the additional stages prior to sanding. The result is fascinating!!! I will post the entire procedure documente in the facebook group soon!

Darren; really nice review. I think that micro grip would be a problem for me; those type of grips seem to wear down or get damaged more easily (at least for me). Nice shape and good looking dart though.
I would say those dats were perfect for front grippers, because they flow much more stable, but I could just recommend by seeing them, I may need to shoot a while to be very sure. Did you ever thought about to ad a recommend like: best for: front/ middle/ rear
I usually say in most reviews which grip style they will suit the best but some are kind of all rounders and nothing is ever set in stone as front weighted darts can be used by rear grippers too and some darts the players grip the stem, like Steve Beaton and Eric Bristow :)

@@benheckendorn2696 Well I do do that at the end too, I often say which type of grip is likely to get the best from the dart but I kind of feel wary about doing such things and making people think what I say is right because in the end even darts you may not think can suit you might turn out to be more suitable than you first think, its not just how you hold the dart its also the way your whole hand/arm throws it and the centre of gravity and shape of the dart will not work the same for all peoples throws if that makes sense? Quite fancying these, I like dirk as a player and I love the purple. £50 doesn’t seem too bad I am a from/medium gripper but tbh I’m looking for a dart that has gripped points, haven’t found one fitting all these yet :/
Any recommendations for a mid gripper? I have my thumb in the middle of the barrel and then have 3 other fingers on the dart, 2 of the barrel and 1 on the tip. I’m a beginner, looking for a set under £50.
I would just start with a straight barrel ring grip if I were you and then see how you get on, try the Designa Dark Thunders, a good one to start with :)

Just ordered these ones. I currently use darts with the same middle part grip as these ones but over the entire barrel. Curious if the grippier ringed grip on the front and rear is gonna help me with my game. Thanks for the review!
They nice darts them I haven’t got no bulls darts yet I’m onto target atm and just got the Gabriel clemens darts and they are gorgoues 😃 I think it’s gonna be van den burgh’s next then aspinall and then I’ll move into bulls , I like ratajski’s darts aswell

I almost spent £500 this morning on gerwyn price new iceman s.e his wales champion World Cup darts , peter wrights 3 new sets (the world champion element edition are unreal ) Johnny Clayton new darts plus his World Cup winning darts to match gezzy and the new flights and cases 😍 altogether it priced just under £500 but I stopped myself and I’m gonna order 2 sets a month instead because there’s others I want aswell , I’m hoping to have around 60-70 sets by end of 2021 I’ve got 20 sets upto now from 2020 with all flights and cases ..... gerwyn price new darts are the bollox 😍 but after getting 2 sets of targets darts I think targets darts are better made and look more quality

Its ecxatly same bulls phantom grip darts just bit coated half size on it. Phantom grip prize 25 quit and this one 60 quit :))))))))))))))))) Sorry but no way . Darts manufactory company must be mad with those prizes for darts.:)))))
The Phantom Grip isn't as grippy as the DvD's. This video actually shows it pretty well ( 6:02 ); the small rings have grip as well. The Phantom Grip in comparison has smooth rings. About the price; except for the Aubergenius dart, everything is 50 bucks in The Netherlands (DvD silver, Phantom Grip blue & red). So guess that's either because of your location, or because of the shop. Pretty normal prices here anyway.

In todays market £50 is becoming middle of the road pricing, was not that many years ago when it was top end pricing lol :)
