  • In this video, I show that the "Noun Complement" element is evident in the Condition Phrase (formerly-and inaccurately-known as the Absolute Phrase).
    ERROR ALERT: At 2:38, I SHOULD have said "PHRASE," NOT "sentence."
    ERROR ALERT: At 10:15, I SHOULD have said "PHRASE," NOT "clause."
    A Condition Phrase is an elliptical, synthetic word phrase that describes the CONDITION that exists during the action of the Genuine Clause. "Condition Phrase" is the most logical, most sensible name that can be applied to this structure.
