This was great. Fixed my slow folder. I knew about making this change, but I was doing it at the folder level, which didn't work. Doing it at the drive level worked like a charm.

ive this problem on discord on my phone whenever i watch a stream of someone it shows me a green bar with (now watching (name of the person streaming) stream) and i wanna get rid of it how do i do that i thought u might be able to help me out cuz a takes op a portion of the stream and is not fun when ure trying to watch a movie with someone in fullscreen and having the distracting green bar ontop ty for ure help
For HDDs also remember to defragment them at least once a month. Especially with some games it helps a lot. Any Sims game is best example too, fragmented HDD can make it literally lag :/

I did this fix's and it did nothing. even my properties takes about 1.7 sec to pop up. My drive it self is about 1.5 sec. It's that way for every directory and short cuts of the directories take about 3 sec's Any thoughts ?
This kinda works, but I think there's Windows Defender tryna scan every file in a folder, esp if you're dealing with applications and installers, that sorta thing. The fans spin up and eventually, my I7 machine loads them/presents the folder. Windows ain't what it used to be, that's for sure.

Seems Microsoft wants to end support of 10 as I've met three people who have the same issues, Microsoft refuses to release a patch, and we all intend on switching to Apple or Linux due to sheer frustration: windows began running slow, then either won't shut down or boot. We all dl the latest updates, all are upto date, no malware detected, yet windows 10 won't load. Automatic repair even sits and spins. It's a complete mess. I can't believe they use and abuse their customers with their bugged up software. Never again..... never.

i disable automatic folder type discovery in regedit its the best solution.
As always, not fixed my problem. Just 1 folder behaves lazy - Desktop (yes, that opened always)
