TBF bacteria and viruses are 2 different things, and artificially-manufactured microorganisms might very well be designed to all trigger in a synchronized way.
I saw the video where a scientists explained the idea. The chemicals released into the atmosphere would be diamond based and there would be a timer that would ensure the synced trigger. But the journalist was too lazy to explain any of it and literally wrote ‘and what that looks like is everyone on earth dying in the same second’ (or something like that) after only explaining that the Ai could create a mini lab. It’s the guardian, a respected newspaper. Hence the reaction
