He was baptized a one year ago on April 25,2021 and he is doing well despite he went through horrible trials with demonic stronghold after his conversion. One day he heard from his inner ear that he should kill himself and fortunately he asked for help and was admitted to mental hospital for four days and psychologically evaluated. He is still practicing the laws as a defense lawyer but since his conversion he doesn’t defend shady people like drug dealers anymore .

After one of my patient died from cancer in 2018 , I cried as listening this hymn cause the last day of her life in the earth , she asked for forgiveness of her sins despite she was raised as a Buddhist .
I saw one single drop of tear from her face the time she entered the eternity
as received Jesus Christ as her Lord at aged of 85 . She was a survivor of Nagasaki nuclear bomb and she heard this hymn from mission school when America mission school was built after WW2 .
I truly believe that beside the Word of God , the most powerful instrument of the heaven’s gate is hymns .

I remember as a child seeing my friend's mother singing this song in tears as the hospital was trying to save my friends sister, who never the less died. I did not understand what was going on as a child but the memory has always stuck with me. When I came the next day to play, she was sobbing bitterly over the coffin of her daughter who looked very peacful in what I thought was a beautiful white velvet bed. There were so many people and everyone looked sad. I only only 4 years old but never forgot it.

And during the service at the Gospel reading of Saint John, i felt some sadness reminded of all the sins I've done. But thanks to God who let Jesus die on the cross. In my years at the a catholic owned junior secondary school, I loved the lent periods mostly because of this hymn. I would cry all the time. Here I am at 30, not finding relevance in Christianity but this song here still make me feel exactly how I felt when I was 12.
