I have listened to her from the same point in time and she still exerts The Evancho Effect on me - spent most of this afternoon in tears marvelling at that wonderful voice.
What a brave, talented, lovely girl Jackie is. Just to be able to remember the lyrics of her large and growing repertoire is a marvel to me, especially when she sings from memory lyrics in languages that she doesn't speak. At 14 Jackie is a world class singer. At 14 I was washing cars and mowing lawns for pocket money. Most UA-camrs were doing similar work as me at that age or just mooching off their parents. Jackie's folks are probably mooching off of her - in a way beneficial to the Evancho family, I'm sure.
I agree, some do attack her and it is so unwarranted. She says she was bullied along the way. I can only put it down to jealousy. This young girl has her own style, she has NEVER uttered an unkind word about anyone that I have ever heard and always conducts herself in a very professional manner.
Miss Jackie Evancho is worth every penny of that too-and a lot more! She is very high maintenance, when your the best-that is the cost, look how expensive her wardrobe is becoming, $10,000 dresses, etc..She really is becoming a mega-star, the best is coming in her near future!....
This is a wonderful compilation. How amazing was Jackie when she was just* a little girl, now grown into a beautiful young woman and no less amazing. Beautiful voice, beautiful in appearance and with a beautiful personality to complete the picture. *well, she was never "just" a little girl, she has always been a very special person!

With all things considered, Jackie's rendition of BOTW is a true masterpiece. She had never sung it before and has not sung it since, in concert. And in a way I hope that she never does. Perfection in the 1st attempt. No need to try again. Remember that there were no weeks of rehearsals, no thousands of repetitions of singing it the past. No advanced publicity. Only the producers new that she would sing it. It truly was one of those moments in unintentional history! One cannot appreciate the importance without all of the background histrionic facts!
I love Jackie and both of her albums out right now, but I really enjoyed her first album the most because of all of the classical songs. She has a beautiful voice regardless of what she sings though! I do wish she would do a Disney princesses album :) Love you Jackie!
She did the Schubert version of Ave Maria on her Prelude To A Dream CD. This version by Bach, though not on her O Holy Night CD (which won her awards), is on her Jackie Evancho DVD which included recordings of her America's Got Talent performances. The DVD was part of her O Holy Night CD/DVD combo that was released October 19, 2010. It is worth owning not only because of the CD music but because of the AGT performances plus "An Interview with Jackie" on the DVD. They're a collector's item!!!
Hopefully, in the near future, someone will cast Jackie as Christine in another "Phantom Of The Opera" re-make! That would certainly be fitting because it was the music from the Phantom movie she saw in 2009 which inspired her to start singing the songs around the house, and her mother saw her potential, and her singing career began soon thereafter.
The wedding celebration took place at Ca d'zan, the RIngling mansion in Sarasota, FL. The orchestra that played was the Venice (FL) Symphony. The actual wedding was a small, private event in December, 2011, five months before this celebration. The shoemaker's are supporters of the Ringling Museum and estate and of the Venice Symphony. The Ringling Museum and mansion were the location of Jackie's first PBS special, filmed in April 2011.
Jackie did officially record "Kōjō no Tsuki", "The Moon over the Ruined Castle", for the Japanese release of Songs From the Silver Screen. It has not (yet) been released in the US. The song can be purchased from iTunes Japan.

I have that album, which I ordered directly from Japan. That song is one of my most treasured songs ever by Jackie Evancho, although there are several that I treasure by her.

I dare you to name one person who can match this girl? She is now fourteen and can sing circles around anyone. Pitch perfect in such a way musicians can tune there instruments to her voice. And as luck would have it, a face as pretty as her voice.

Jackie has now sung the 3 patriotic songs listed here God Bless America, America The Beautiful, and The National Anthem all on her Together We Stand album. One she sang last year which may never be recorded due possibly to political fallout from the inauguration is 'Think About Me'. In 'Tears In Heaven' from 08:09 to 08:13 is the only time I've seen Jackie make a mistake! It wasn't a singing mistake but a physical mistake. She recovered gracefully and never missed a note in the song! - A cute and endearing moment that i think she was laughing about (inside her self) while portraying to us the trooper that she was and is. She is FANTABULOSO. An American - but - A World Treasure! I wish only the best for Jackie; her siblings; parents; and her very supportive clan !!!

I'm glad she wasn't born before she was. If Kate Smith heard her sing "God Bless America", she might have stopped singing it for the Flyers. The same goes for Judy Garland and "Somewhere Over the Rainbow". Once you've heard Jackie sing it, there's no reason to try (I worry about Liza).
Her second video on this loop, really does not allow her to do justice to the song. Very poor location and sound system indeed. She did tough it out tho. Who were the people she did the song for at their wedding? It is a very interesting venue, and was rather cool to see her singing in. She definitely had the attention focused on her. These people will most likely never forget this night for as long as they live.

I hadn't seen your song list, so i had counted 'Somewhere Over The Rainbow (Prelude)' (which was sung on Oprah's Farewell show May 25, 2011) when Jackie was 11 and 'Somewhere Over The Rainbow" (sung when Jackie was either 8 or 9) as two separate songs. The 1st song is Kojo no Tuski composed by Rentaro Taki in 1901(en.wikipedia.org/wiki/K%C5%8Dj%C5%8D_no_Tsuki). I never knew that she sang a Japanese song.
Although Tears in Heaven and Thousand Stars were inferior quality it must be remembered that they were church hall recordings with tape backing. What should be admired was Jackie's dedicated singing at a very young age...a portent of the amazing superstar she has since become although still so young.
Even at the age of 9, her voice was more beautiful than the original singers. This is not an ordinary little girl. She' a little angel that god loaned to us for a time to give us a little taste of heaven.

I think it's absolutely precious how when Jackie was younger (she probably has outgrown it now) she would fidget with her skirt almost like little ones do with their blankie, so sweet and cute....♡
She's worked hard on presenting herself in a 'professional' way while singing. But even today at 20 years old if you watch closely she slightly does that sometimes in live concerts. I love when she does that. It's a sign she is totally immersed in a song and not thinking about what she should do with her hands.

I have followed her since AGT. At age 10. Loved her singing and blowing Simon Cowell away. She sang in Los AAngeles at the Orpheom Theater (I was there) with her brother Jacob--now Juliet--listen again to the lyrics--very revealing!!
The difference between this song and the first one presented on this video in this venue are light years apart. This is because the sound equipment had been properly "tuned". Anyone know where she was doing this performance, it looks some what like she is in a school gym/auditorium.

Technically, several of these songs appeared on albums. Kojo No Tsuki (Moon over Castle Ruins) is on the Japanese version of Songs from the Silver Screen. Con te Partirò & Think of Me were on Prelude to a Dream. The Bach-Gounod Ave Maria was on the bonus DVD of her AGT songs with O Holy Night. (The Schubert version was on PTAD.)
You can tell the "Tears in Heaven" was before Jackie became famous. I know the audio really needed to be cleaned up, BUT, it is still a good rendition. She looks like she's about 8 here, to be honest.
USC....the wedding if I remember was in Miami, one of the Shoemakers . Flew her down at their expense, rumor has it Jackie made about $80,000 for four or five songs.
And well worth it. A unique opportunity for the Shoemakers. How great to be able to say "We had Jackie Evancho to sing at our wedding" and she did it perfectly - the consummate professional that she is, even as a little girl. I dare you to name one person who can match this girl? She is now fourteen and can sing circles around anyone. Pitch perfect in such a way musicians can tune there instruments to her voice. And as luck would have it, a face as pretty as her voice.

Jackie has now sung the 3 patriotic songs listed here God Bless America, America The Beautiful, and The National Anthem all on her Together We Stand album. One she sang last year which may never be recorded due possibly to political fallout from the inauguration is 'Think About Me'. In 'Tears In Heaven' from 08:09 to 08:13 is the only time I've seen Jackie make a mistake! It wasn't a singing mistake but a physical mistake. She recovered gracefully and never missed a note in the song! - A cute and endearing moment that i think she was laughing about (inside her self) while portraying to us the trooper that she was and is. She is FANTABULOSO. An American - but - A World Treasure! I wish only the best for Jackie; her siblings; parents; and her very supportive clan !!!

I'm glad she wasn't born before she was. If Kate Smith heard her sing "God Bless America", she might have stopped singing it for the Flyers. The same goes for Judy Garland and "Somewhere Over the Rainbow". Once you've heard Jackie sing it, there's no reason to try (I worry about Liza).

Her second video on this loop, really does not allow her to do justice to the song. Very poor location and sound system indeed. She did tough it out tho. Who were the people she did the song for at their wedding? It is a very interesting venue, and was rather cool to see her singing in. She definitely had the attention focused on her. These people will most likely never forget this night for as long as they live.

The wedding I remember Jackie singing at was held at Venice Italy, with the Venice symphony orchestra backing up Jackie. You may be right that the couple getting married came from Miami.
I thought the same at first then realised it is Venice Beach, Florida - the Ringling Museum, Sarasota.
Just in the past year or so, Jackie has performed a few of the songs mentioned in this video: _God Bless America_, at the PBS Capitol Fourth concert; _Con Te Partiro_, in a duet with Andrea Bocelli in Italy; and _Somewhere Over the Rainbow_ at a few of her concerts. Have I missed any others?

I hadn't seen your song list, so i had counted 'Somewhere Over The Rainbow (Prelude)' (which was sung on Oprah's Farewell show May 25, 2011) when Jackie was 11 and 'Somewhere Over The Rainbow" (sung when Jackie was either 8 or 9) as two separate songs. The 1st song is Kojo no Tuski composed by Rentaro Taki in 1901(en.wikipedia.org/wiki/K%C5%8Dj%C5%8D_no_Tsuki). I never knew that she sang a Japanese song.

Although Tears in Heaven and Thousand Stars were inferior quality it must be remembered that they were church hall recordings with tape backing. What should be admired was Jackie's dedicated singing at a very young age...a portent of the amazing superstar she has since become although still so young.
Even at the age of 9, her voice was more beautiful than the original singers. This is not an ordinary little girl. She' a little angel that god loaned to us for a time to give us a little taste of heaven.

I think it's absolutely precious how when Jackie was younger (she probably has outgrown it now) she would fidget with her skirt almost like little ones do with their blankie, so sweet and cute....♡

She's worked hard on presenting herself in a 'professional' way while singing. But even today at 20 years old if you watch closely she slightly does that sometimes in live concerts. I love when she does that. It's a sign she is totally immersed in a song and not thinking about what she should do with her hands.

I have followed her since AGT. At age 10. Loved her singing and blowing Simon Cowell away. She sang in Los AAngeles at the Orpheom Theater (I was there) with her brother Jacob--now Juliet--listen again to the lyrics--very revealing!!

The difference between this song and the first one presented on this video in this venue are light years apart. This is because the sound equipment had been properly "tuned". Anyone know where she was doing this performance, it looks some what like she is in a school gym/auditorium.

Technically, several of these songs appeared on albums. Kojo No Tsuki (Moon over Castle Ruins) is on the Japanese version of Songs from the Silver Screen. Con te Partirò & Think of Me were on Prelude to a Dream. The Bach-Gounod Ave Maria was on the bonus DVD of her AGT songs with O Holy Night. (The Schubert version was on PTAD.)
You can tell the "Tears in Heaven" was before Jackie became famous. I know the audio really needed to be cleaned up, BUT, it is still a good rendition. She looks like she's about 8 here, to be honest.

USC....the wedding if I remember was in Miami, one of the Shoemakers . Flew her down at their expense, rumor has it Jackie made about $80,000 for four or five songs.
And well worth it. A unique opportunity for the Shoemakers. How great to be able to say "We had Jackie Evancho to sing at our wedding" and she did it perfectly - the consummate professional that she is, even as a little girl.
Jackie is worth every penny she earns - unlike some of her much wealthier contemporaries.
Just starting into that first song, and a first mistake. It has been officially recorded, but released only in Japan. I have the Japan version of the CD "Songs From The Silver Screen". It was recorded by Sony of Japan.
