I don't know. In this video he shows that he has great technique, he knows how to hit the drums and he's fast (fast seems to be a synonim for "good" when it comes to many instruments) but for me there is no musicality in most of what he does (in this video). You don't sit down to listen to this unless you want to hear how fast he can do his tricks and that's not the point of playing drums, is it?
In your commentary I can really only find one spot where you mention that he makes the single floor-tom sound like multiple toms and *that* is interesting, that seems to require some actual playing skill vs raw speed. Did I mention I don't care about speed? I know it requires skill to be fast and it becomes a holy grail for musicians but above a certain speed you're really just annoying your audience.

There is a great lesson to be learned from these amazing reaction videos by 66 Samus.

Pick up the sticks and get practicing! It's right in front of you! Forget about anything else. Dedicate 2 hours. Working on 1 or 2 things at a time. Soon you'll be adjusting that.
Siberiano has reinforced for us all the need for p-r-a-c-t-i-c-e and h-a-r-d w-o-r-k!! Talent is good, but it's never enough. You have to work hard, and then it looks easy.
The tension on the snare and the weight have the benefit of making the drum cut through and not get hidden. It has the drawback of making the drum cut through and not get hidden😄. Every single stroke has to be deliberate and well executed or it sticks out. Same with the cymbals he uses. Really dry with a fast attack. You've got to be on point because they sound amazing but there's nowhere for sloppiness to hide. He's an absolute monster. So good.

@@larzblast Not the one here when he was rolling a cig, that was a double. On his channel there's one where he re-orchestrates it with the bass drum pattern on the hi-hat between his hand and left foot. Yeah, it's not the same but when you hear it, it's instantly identifiable as Bleed.

It was his 3-piece, single kick cover of The Enemy Inside that got me hooked. Using the floor tom as another kick to mimic a double bass? Mind. Blown.
I first saw that with jd beck. He always puts alot of muffling on his floor tom to make it as dead as possible and he uses it like a second kick drum some times.
This might be some of the grooviest drumming I've ever seen. He is straight up chilling while busting out some of the most rhythmically complex stuff possible.

Im really interested in what the collab may sound like. It would be very interesting seeing Estepario try to keep up with you with only a single pedal! Im sure he could. Imagine the switch up between blast beats and very fast double bass to some very groovy and insane beats. That would be sick.
One thing I love about his fills, is they have a discernible rhythm. A lot of other drummers just hit everything as fast as they can, including me!!

What I like about El Esterpario Siberiano's drumming is about the creativity that he did on a simple drum kit settings.Simple but creative and teaching you how to do things in a simple way.The next thing I like about this Spanish dude is his drumming techniques such as chops, ghost notes and double pedal..extremely fast.It reminds me of the late Joey Jordison and the present Nile drummer George Kollias.

This dude is so awesome! I can recreate most of what he does, I cut my teeth on the one pedal stuff, and I always have a block and a cow bell...but then he turns it up with one handed shit while he's taking a drink or something. Then the stick tricks on top. This guy practices more than any of us.
