Honestly people are different despite their age and I feel like Gene basks in Nubsibs ability to be strong, caring, loving, assuring, kind, protective and fearless. Nubsibs nature is admirable despite his age his love is wholesome. Also when one person takes the lead the other person unconsciously let's them do it cause they feel safe.
I think the rap reassured Tiffy because what person would go out of their way and embarrasse themselves to make someone they don't like, like them.

I'm so freaking happy about Tiffy and Tum, they are possibly one of my favorite couples from any show and I can't explain why. I'm not usually freaking out whenever I see any types of couples, whether they be straight or gay, but with these two I can't help but get all giddy and excited- it doesn't make sense!! That being said, I love the main relationship, too. All of the couples in this show are just amazing together, and it shows that whoever made this show was an absolute GENIUS!!

So I think this is how it goes: Tum's character made Tiffy feel that he is gay, that's why she was so hesitant to accept him. She thought he might be going through a phase or just joking with her. But due to Tum's constant efforts+ when Tum realised she thinks of him as gay, he tried to show a masculine side of him by rapping for her. Which in turn, made Tiffy realise that he is even ready to make fun of himself just to tell her how he feels, that's why she decides to accept him.
BEST AWWWW MOMENT: The accepting. 💙💙💙

honestly that scene on the balcony was one of the gentlest, sweetest moments. the way Gene looked at Sib with such trust and openness. And Sib gently wrapping him into that hug, and holding him so softly....just the physical part of that scene was so beautiful, but then you add in their conversation, when Sib said Gene's dad would never trade him for anything...seriously one of the best scenes ever.
I love that although Gene is 26 and Sib is 4-5 years younger (as said in an earlier episode) Sib is the one taking care of Gene. In part, I think because Sib has known for a long time (like 10 years) who he loved, and what he wanted. Gene is still new to these feelings, and unsure of himself. But I think with these two, in the end they will take care of each other.
