      Thanks for watching! I'm going to make a video in the future about the health benefits of table tennis!

    I would agree with safety and accessibility. Rarely anyone gets injured and elderly can also play at their own speed.
    Wouldn't agree with other three since I think outdoor sports have their own fun aspect to them. Complexity wise, almost every game has it.

    As a j pen player I take offense that you don’t think I can seriously injure someone with my forehand.

    fax accessibility is the biggest factor

    For me, table tennis is the best sport because it's my sport. But a video to compare it with the other ones doesn't make sense. I love also Hand-ball, tennis, swimming... And I think that "Spin" is opposite to "Accessibility". Spin in table tennis is often hated by begginers...

    What's the difference between corkscrew spin and sidespin? I've been playing competitively for 5 years already but I've never heard of "corkscrew spin"

    • @top5tabletennis
      @top5tabletennis  10 місяців тому +5

      Hello, Sidespin is definitely more common than corkscrew spin, but corkscrew spin still exists in the high toss serves of high level players.
      If you imagine the axis the ball spins on, sidespin spins on the up-down axis while corkscrew spin spins on the front-back axis
      If you watch Adam Bobrow, he uses corkscrew spin in his "snake" move which is how he gets the ball to change direction as soon as it bounces

      I believe this is the difference. Side spin turns in the horizontal plane; a dot drawn on the ball would move left/right. Corkscrew spin turns in the vertical plane; a dot would move up/down. Corkscrew spin is also known as snake sometimes.

      I agree with your points but they barely mean anything and there are very many things keeping ping pong from being the best “sport”. Maybe it’s a good activity though

    Sounds like snooker is the best sport, as it includes all of the above, but is safer and requires less space to play professionally.

    i would strongly disagree with table tennis's indoor/outdoor capabilities. While other sports can be played both indoors and outdoors, table tennis can ONLY be played indoors, because the slighest amount of wind can remove all the fun in your rallies.

      good point! I agree that many sports can be taken outside, but table tennis can't be taken outside!

      I disagree. I played table tennis on a cruise outdoor deck one time, trust me, it was fun!

    Accessibility? No, not quite! In terms of clubs, here in the States, there aren't many good clubs to go to or you should go for a long drive! The next video could be about "why TT is not really popular outside of China" Or "why there aren't enough tt clubs in the U.S.?"🤔

      @@dlxaytra1087 In the East, it's a little modern-looking, but it's fine. There is definitely a need for more professional clubs for training and tournaments/leagues in all states!
