I had this exact thing picking up my baby son. He was a heavy baby, wriggled just as I picked him out of his pushchair which I was at the side of. I was literally bent double. Struggled home and luckily only had to walk 5 minutes to a chiropractor bent over double through the back streets of London. I still have pain from time to time and my son is 21 now!
The first time my back “went out” I bent over to pick a sock up off the floor. The next thing I know, I am literally digging carpet fibers out of the point of my nose. There was no comfort in ANY position. Since that day, I have hit my knees when 1) standing over the kitchen sink washing my hands and turned my head to sneeze; 2) swinging a golf club; and 3) standing up to get out of bed. Each time, my pelvis either shifted out of alignment causing one side to be higher than the other, or I ended up with the infamous “pelvic tilt” which caused the L4 & L5 vertebrae to pinch the sciatic nerve. Both are excruciating. Thank God for chiropractors!!!
@@merniekts549 Absolutely. I have had other incidents that have come up over the past 37 years since the first time it happened, but those came about because I wasn’t following doctor’s orders - stretching, physical therapy exercises, keeping weight off, etc. However, even though I still may have a minor issue once every year, the chiropractor can usually get me feeling much better after a couple of visits, and virtually normal soon thereafter. I absolutely believe in chiropractic care to keep me out of traction and living a normal life.

I simply just fell but not really hard its more about my weight(300) that kinda played a big role any recommendations? My left leg hurts i can still walk for a little but i think thats due to the inflammation to the sciatica?
@@merniekts549 I am not a doctor and each situation is different. Have you had any x-rays and/or an MRI? I have never allowed a chiropractor to work on me without at least having x-rays. I would suggest having one or both of those done so you know exactly what is going on before allowing anyone to work on you. The back is way too intricate to give someone the go ahead to start manipulating your vertebrae without knowing exactly what is going on in your spinal column. I never had anything major going on in be back or my pelvis/hip joints (disc issues, broken bones, damaged spinal cord, etc.). It has just been bad alignment due to me being out of shape and not following the recommendations of my chiropractor over long periods of time. I would start feeling better and then quit doing the stretches/exercises. I feel for you. There is no pain like back pain.
My back was getting bad for years, I was to tight to twist without pain. At 54, tried a chiro for the first time. I got that pelvis adjustment too. Both directions made such a huge crunch, I was surprised I walked away from it! But I was loose for the first time in years!
To all Chiropractors, I truly believe you do miracle work. I know b.c. I seen one 3 times a week for a couple of years for low back pain and sciatica. I could bearly walk. We used the table that drops your legs down and stitches the lower back. Used ultrasound on my hip. And my Chiropractor was an extreme guy that did not mess around when it came to adjusting. Super strength adjustments. After all that, I did feel better, but walking home was still a challenge. When I would walk back home I would still have pain. It took a couple of years and losing weight to get rid of all the pain. I do not believe any Chiropractor instantly healing anyone doing just one or two adjustments. It took me a couple of years.
I know the feeling. I have over 30 years of back pain and continue to suffer every day. Take care of your body and good luck with MDs. They will pill you to death. Enjoy life while you are healthy.

I know that feeling that 1st time doing it is painful what that first adjustment is so much of a relief and when you do the other side and the doctor asks you to stand up when you sit at the edge of that table and think to yourself are you going to fall as soon as you stand up is the moment of truth when you stand up you feel so relaxed relief and feel like a new person it's great

I threw my lower back out last week. At first I felt stiff and the pain progressively got worse on day 1. When I woke up, I could not move. Could not roll over in bed. Could not sit down in a chair or walk. I’ve been icing my back several times a day. Today was day 4 and I’ve been in the bed all 4 days. I was able to get up today and walk around. It was not easy though… standing up straight feels like gravity is working against you. However, I noticed the pain was somewhat better. Now I will begin heat therapy on my lower back. I’d say by next week I’ll be fully moving around again and 100% within a month. I’m young and healthy but this is proof that it can happen to anyone. Each time, my pelvis either shifted out of alignment causing one side to be higher than the other, or I ended up with the infamous “pelvic tilt” which caused the L4 & L5 vertebrae to pinch the sciatic nerve. Both are excruciating. Thank God for chiropractors!!!
Did it help? Are you fully better now?
@@merniekts549 Absolutely. I have had other incidents that have come up over the past 37 years since the first time it happened, but those came about because I wasn’t following doctor’s orders - stretching, physical therapy exercises, keeping weight off, etc. However, even though I still may have a minor issue once every year, the chiropractor can usually get me feeling much better after a couple of visits, and virtually normal soon thereafter. I absolutely believe in chiropractic care to keep me out of traction and living a normal life.
@@poppafly635 what happend to you?? Im 24 years and its been 1 month for me i guess my t12 and l1 are compressed and i have 3 kids so i need to get back to work you know any idea if mine is serious or if a adjustment will do it.? I simply just fell but not really hard its more about my weight(300) that kinda played a big role any recommendations? My left leg hurts i can still walk for a little but i think thats due to the inflammation to the sciatica?
Due
I thought I would pass out from the pain today. I'm pretty tough, but this pain kicked my butt so hard. Almost cried multiple times too
Yes, the pain nearly made me cry as well. Along with a wave of depression…just thinking of the journey to get relief.
@Richard Smith omg, yes cried like a baby and called on God in Heaven to help!

It's getting better. It hurts in the morning, once I'm walking it goes a bit more easy, I can't walk bare foot anymore.
When people complain of upper back pain, they have no idea of real back pain.
Poor dude. I been through that and the pain is horrendous.
I know the feeling. I have over 30 years of back pain and continue to suffer every day.
Take care of your body and good luck with MDs. They will pill you to death.
Enjoy life while you are healthy.
I have it before and fixed it with swimming 30 minutes non stop, 2-3 times a week. That's my only self-therapy and it works!
What kind of swimming excercises?
Must go to water every other day or chriopracter or accupuncter
I have been swimming for decades and it has greatly strengthened my muscles in my neck and back.
I go to the chiro as needed.
His voice changed after the adjustment, damn. I’ve been there, great vid.
Almost thought it was fake lol
For those reading this.. throwing ur back out is no joke..I threw my back out and I literally could not breathe..I could not walk and thank God my son was home or I could have been in that spot for hours... please don't think ur unfit or weight has anything to do with this kinda injury..I am thin, exercise 6 days a week and in good health i hurt my back while doing morning stretches..it can happen to anyone at anytime doing what u normally do...it takes time to heal ..
I threw out my back three times yes the pain is horrible makes everyday life hard.
Thank u for this 👏🏽
Yeah I've had it so bad I couldn't walk either! Took me seriously 30 min to put 1 shoe on my foot! I know how that feels it's horrible! Total pain! Like the pain level 1 to 10, it was a 20! I had to get my back cracked and it fixed everything! Back pain is definitely no joke!
I feel his relief. I woke up with a severe stiff neck and literally one adjustment fixed it, took about 15 minutes.
I was at school when something like this happened and someone grabbed my neck at quickly and forcefully but it straight it was so painful my entire body went cold lol
My husband is a big, tough man and I’ve seen him brought to tears from his sciatica pain. Unable to even get socks on, it’s heartbreaking.
Me too, socks, shoes, putting my leg into my pants, it’s horrible. Amazing how you find ways to work around your bodies inabilities. Not wearing tight belts, Chiropractor and yoga were great help
I had back pain so bad I couldn't get out of bed by myself. If the house had caught fire I would have died in bed.
Throwing out your back is nothing to mess around with..

I know that feeling that 1st time doing it is painful what that first adjustment is so much of a relief and when you do the other side and the doctor asks you to stand up when you sit at the edge of that table and think to yourself are you going to fall as soon as you stand up is the moment of truth when you stand up you feel so relaxed relief and feel like a new person it's great
I’ve just been diagnosed with a bulging disc im only 35 . I’ve had 2 years prior without realising until the pain got so severe I went to docs , had referral I had an MRI scan this year . It’s so painful turning in bed , climbing up the stairs , I can’t lift and bending is what caused it I believe. Physio is helping me towards recovery .
Sleep with a pillow between your legs to stop your spine rotating...good luck (chronic pain)
Never easy pain like that I was 38 when I had my spine surgery. As you say 30 years on still pain all day, no easy answer. Just do what you can when you can, rest and do not do too much, take care I wish I had more O can offer you. 🇬🇧

I'm a runner and I have fallen several times running trails and as soon as I get home I call my " miracle hands doctor" and cracked my whole body, oh boy it feels great!
I laid on the floor, same exact spot for 5 days. My boyfriend had to pull me on a blanket and hold me up just to use the bathroom. Worst pain of my life few years ago. Since then, exercising has really helped. When I do feel pain again,I use a muscle stimulator and icing.
Yeah it's painful. I'm laying in bed and hopefully will get better.

Years ago, when I was a Police Officer, I went to my Chiropractor while I was at work. He noticed me take my pocket notebook in its holder from my rear pocket and asked me if I had it there all of the time. I told him that I did. Most of my 8 hour shift would have me sitting in a patrol car. I took his advice as the notebook was probably throwing my back out slightly by sitting back on it.
Tell him to take that wallet out of his back pocket. It’s making him sit crooked

Worked for George Costanza...lol
I always take mine out.
First thing.
I drive all day/night... and it goes immediately in storage.

Yup, wallet in the front pocket.

Hey Todd. I feel ya bro. Rolled out of bed the other day and couldn’t stand up. Comes out of nowhere. Fortunately Chiropractor could see me next day. Good to have one on speed dial
That adjustment the Dr made with him laying on his side is the one that seems to always benefit my back the most
The relief I get from just that one adjustment is iincredible
His my best Doctor I visit for my back pain ever after his visit never feel pain again .
If your back hurts like disc pain or lumbar pain. If your not dealing with an injury like a slipped disc you could be dehydrated . Pee in a cup so it’s not diluted by toilet water if it real yellow or orange in color drink about 3 liters of water and see how you feel . Lower discs dehydrate first it’s a game on millimeters trying to un pinch a nearve . It worked for me 10 days on my back I started to hydrate I was on my feet in 2 days good luck

That is cool. You can tell the guy was like, yeah right. Then, ohh, aww. The smile told it all.
Just a nerve numbing and wallet massage job..
You got right to the point and I loved it! My chiro used to say my pelvis was tipped, and more recently my pt would say it was off to ine side or out of line. Love "torqued!!" Precisely! I was him for years on and off, not being able to stand up or having to just about crawl to the bathroom. I've since learned what to do and what not to do to protect and strenthen that area to keep my body functional. I also know now what I can do to help myself if I get into trouble. Just wish I could say the same for my neck, shoulder and scapula ...
Thanks for encapsulating it all in just a few minutes.

Back pain is the worst !
Dr. Brown, I noticed that his right side was paining him most and that's where he carries his wallet. Suggest to your patient to not carry his wallet in a back pocket. Years ago, my husband was told that by his chiropractor. It took time to get used to his wallet in a front pocket, but his back hasn't gone out like that since.
I watched...understood the pain very well. I am suffering through right now.
Doctor explained this perfectly. I had this exact issue with the lateral shift.

Why are so many people in pain? Is it diet? Chemtrails, our water supply?
All of em imo!
Sitting in chairs at work, sitting to use the bathroom instead of squatting, sitting on the sofa or recliner, sitting while driving, sitting while flying….see a pattern? That crappy ~90 degree position we subject ourselves to about 50% of our day ain’t helping this.

Make sure to strengthen your lower back muscles by walking and exercise. Because I promise this a painful injury and very debilitating. Especially if you have to work and drive.
Update: Thursday will be 2 weeks. Much much better. I’d say 70% now. 2 more weeks I’ll be 100%
