Wow this video is life changing. My whole life I’ve been using a very light bronzer as a contour. Because I’m so fair. I always saw people draw these dark lines on their face and I thought I’m too fair to pull it off. But wow the undertones of warm and cool make suchhhh a difference. My whole face is transformed! @@AlexandraAnele ye dude, I'm olive and yellow cast but very warm and pink in the sun so I don't even know what the fuck to do lol when I'm tan I just have a very olive cast and when I haven't seen sun in a while I get pale and look ill XD whenever I mention my skin tone people start to tutt what I'm saying and then mid-sentence they'll start studying my face and are like, 'oh yeah... you really are green and pink, huh...' LOL
I as a literally white person, (I genuinely mean it, I blend in with my walls on pictures) also struggle with finding the right shade for my skin. Everything always looks like mud on my skin since I'm too pale.

As someone who has no prior understanding of makeup, your explanations of coloring and making shadows make so much sense to me. As an artist those are terms I had to live by. And its cool now to be learning how to do makeup and realizing that it's just like shading a face with graphite on a paper. Changing and enhancing a face. Honestly, this is very useful information. I use neither but have been interested in trying them out but every time I walk into a makeup store, I never know which products or shades to look for. Could you please maybe also do a separate video about the right shades and undertones?

Basically contour is used to enhance natural shadows on the face so it would make sense that the colors for contour is a bit of a cooler/ dark flesh tone (depends on your skin color) and bronzer is just a spray tan but for a sun kissed or very warm look

This is brilliant. These videos are so so so helpful. Could you do a video on how to choose the right lip color for your makeup please!? I feel like I can do a decent job at matching my face and eye shadow, then I use a lip stick a screw it all up. It’ll be too pink or too nude it’s hard for me to get them to look good 🙈

I’m very into bronzer and don’t really like contour. Whenever people ask for the difference I simply say “bronzer enhances and tans while contour shades and transforms” 🤷🏻♀️
