    Tanya, using your planner as a memory book of your homeschool is seriously brilliant! You've given me so many ideas of how to apply this in my own life. Thanks for the inspiration friend!

      Aw, thanks! I'm glad it was helpful. Once I realized that I was never going to reminisce over what chapters we read or what worksheet pages we did that day, I just started recording ideas, large concepts, and fun projects/shows/discussions. It's been my favorite year of homeschool planning, and I look forward to having the extra space in the Schoolnest planner.

    Using sticker pages to add in things is genius!! I love how you set this up and I plan to do something very similar. I really enjoy this planner ❤

    This was so helpful. I had looked at this planner and thought there were some things I would love and some things not so much... put I love the way you have customized it. Thanks for all the ideas and tips!!

    Have you ever considered designing your own planner? You alter every planner I've seen you use so much. LOL. I think our brains work very similarly, but I don't ever take the time to do as much customizing . If you made a planner --people would buy it.

      That is such a great compliment! I wish I had any graphic design skill. Maybe Megan will indulge me one day and design something beautiful that aligns with my brain and yours. 💚 In the meantime, I love how open-ended this planner is!

    I really like that you combine planning with memory keeping. It adds another dimension to the traditional planner doesn’t it.

    📝Tanya, it was nice to do a collab with you!!!! I agree, we need to do more this year. #plannerfriendsforlife 🤓
    I loved seeing your set up and how you transitioned it from a smaller bullet journal to this bigger homeschool planner. I like all the space and flexibility this planner offers. I need to add washi tapes to my months, that would make it look so good!!! I'm just not sure how much space it might take up since my planner page is 7x9. 🤔

    I just discovered the Pilot Frixion erasable pens and highlighters. Total planner game changer! I love to write in color but having to scratch something off gave me anxiety lol. No more pencils for me.

    I LOVED this video! Thank you so much for sharing. I had 2 questions….
    - how do you find time to keep up with the recording/journaling? I have 3 kids too, a little bit younger than yours, and I am in awe.
    - how do you add pages to a spiral bound planner?
    Thank you again! My favourite thing about this video was how sincere and genuine it all seemed 💛

      What a nice compliment! Thank you. In terms of keeping up, I like this form of taking a couple of days to set up the planner and then simply jotting down notes and observations throughout the school day. If I leave it til the end, it often doesn't get done. And this planner comes with a bound spine, so I actually had the copy shop slice off the binding and add a spiral coil. I could have added pages before they spiral bound it. Instead, I opted to paste sticker pages of my own printouts over existing pages. But if you are starting with a spiral bound planner, you may simply unwind the coil, add pages (after hole punching with something like a ProClick), and then rewind the coil. Hope that helps!

    Will the copy store cut the original binding or just add the punch and spiral?

    • @ProjectHappyHome
      @ProjectHappyHome  Рік тому

      I would call and ask first - some copy stores no longer cut bindings off because of the glue residue on their cutting machines. But I have never had an issue with finding a few who still do it.

    How do you enjoy wonder filled nature days? Do you do the live squilt or the curriculum?

    • @ProjectHappyHome
      @ProjectHappyHome  3 роки тому +1

      We have really enjoyed Wonderfilled Nature - it is not secular, but I find it easy to skip over the religious portions. We do the live SQUILT program, and it has been great. If you can't do it on a consistent basis, though, I think the calendar subscription would be a better value.

    May I ask where you purchased these bigger spirals? I haven't been able to find larger spines compatible with Proclick.

    • @ProjectHappyHome
      @ProjectHappyHome  3 роки тому

      If you search for 4:1 pitch spiral binding coils, you should be able to find whatever diameter coil you’re looking for. 4:1 pitch will generally fit the ProClick holes. I didn’t bind this planner myself, I took it to an office supply store and they did it for me.
