You cannot try someone quickly. I know tv shows show it, but when you are up against money, be it corporate, or in this case, individually, trials take YEARS cause every small thing will be appealed. Once any single thingis challemged in court, then there has to be a filing, an answer, a response, then sometimes a hearing, then a ruling. Each of those steps has a time frame, but in total its about two months. FOR EVERY SINGLE QUIBBLE. Most of us wont get that kind of laywering, cause we cant afford it. Trump can. Its why his lawyers waited till the last minute for every single filing they made, and why they questioned everything, even when the entire world knew they were in the wrong. He has been charged. He will stay criminal until appeals court dismisses the charges. That the sentence will be nothing doesn't mean his charges have been dismissed. It's like these people have no understanding how the world works...
We know for a fact that the values he gave for properties in tax returns, were different from the values he gave for those same properties in bank documents. So it is irrefutable that he committed bank fraud and/or tax fraud.
The bank he supposedly defrauded did not seek the charges. And in fact went on to do further business with him. If the bank felt it was defrauded why did they continue to do business with him?
@@robertredmon5409 Maybe they didn't catch it at the time. Maybe someone within the bank was also in in on it. It wouldn't be the first time. There could also be political pressure.

Working in a NY law firm about 25 years ago I do remember some NY state law rules. I am almost positive that a state case can get to the Supreme Court but it is extremely rare. There are literally two dozen courts below that would have to agree that a higher court needs to review the case. The defense attorney would have to make one heck of a case that would merit a case to get to the Supreme Court. In Trump’s case, being that their argument is weak at best, I could not see all those courts referring it to a higher court until it reaches to the Supreme Court. I would bet it does not get past the NY state Supreme Court. Just an educated guess based on experience and studying law in NY/NJ/FL.
I'm not a lawyer. To get his case in front of SCOTUS, it needs to be appealed as a violation of his Constitutional rights or have some connection to the ruling's misalignment with the US Constitution. That's just a matter of framing, which usually gets rejected by SCOTUS. However, that's SCOTUS's decision, so even the weakest Constitutional excuse might make it through.
They literally made up their own rules about the 14th amendment section 3 they don’t even bother making excuses for the constitution anymore. They somehow gained the ability to make laws themselves.
