Klaus Meine's voice is incredible. Amazing pitch and range, and as you said, he can really carry emotions and pain in his voice. More examples for his mindblowing vocals are In Trance (especially earlier live versions), We'll burn the Sky, or Send me an Angel. I'll be seeing Scorpions live this summer, they still rock 😁
I saw the Scorpions in 1983 Dortmund Westfalen hallen Germany. Klaus Meine has a great voice and the band was huge in that time. I was lucky, because beside The Scorpions, there were also Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Def Leppard, Quiet Riot, Ozzy Osbourne, Krokus and the Michael Schenker Group. I was 24 at this concert and had the time of my life
I agree. Klaus Meine is also indescribable live. The cast in Dortmund was great. I saw them in Saarbrücken in what, in retrospect, was a very strange lineup of bands and musicians like Brand X, Alvin Lee and Ten Years After, John McLaughlin, Frank Zappa, Joan Baez and Genesis. Uli Roth was still the guitarist for the Scorpions at the time.
Alvin Lee from Ten Years After was a underrated guitarplayer imo, would have loved to see them too. Just as Genesis, but Saarbrücken was to far away from the Netherlands with my old car🚗😃@@perrosol-ns4cc8ot4t
Thank you Michael. Great choice🌹❤️🌹 I love the Scorpions. Did not discover them until the early 70's but these guys ROCK🤘🔥🤘 I have so many albums.🤩 If you like ballad type songs try "Send me an Angel" but other favorites are Rock you like a Hurricane, Tease Me Please Me, I can't Explain, The Zoo, Loving You Sunday Morning, Winds of Change, Rythum of Love, and Believe in Love. Love these guys.❤ I was never a Valentine gal but recently found myself doing cards again, much like school card exchanges, because many of the new Canadians from foreign lands have a very different take on this holiday. Many send "love and friendship" cards to everyone they love or appreciate. They don't seem to understand the North Americain "couples thing" 🤭😂😂🙄 Personally I like this new version of Valentines Day better.😂❤ 🥰🥰Hugs from a Canadian Dear🇨🇦
Hmmmm, interesting on the "friends exchange" for this holiday. I like that better too. Thanks for sharing, Renee. Good to see u. Happy you like, Scorpions. WHO KNEW! 😏
Hello Renee, I'm glad you like Scorpions. It's no surprise though, given your wide-ranging taste in music, at least from what I've seen so far. My favorite Scorpion album is the 1978 live album Tokyo Tapes. Many people don't know it or have forgotten it. When it comes to albums, I'm really jealous, I had so many albums in general, including many records whose music is no longer available today despite the Internet. I was only able to get one, 😥but at least one that is no longer available. Have a nice day (whatever time it may be where you are in Canada).
@@perrosol-ns4cc8ot4t Thank you Michael. It is now 9am where I am😉 I do not have the 1978 Tokyo Tapes and sadly most of my Albums are useless as collector pieces because overhandling and playing has worn most of the covers so they are all rat-eared. But well loved.🙄😉 Once again thank you for choosing this song as it made my day🤗😏
Thanks for choosing this song. You're right, the song is from 1984 but it's a classic. The band has existed since 1965 and still fills large halls and arenas live. So they are headliners in Wacken in 2024.🤘💥
THERE U R! 😏. You are welcome, Michael. Ohhhhh, ok 1984. I was a young 13yo then. Oh wow, gonna be in Wacken. That sounds familiar....I think Nightwish performed there. We have done MANY reactions to Nightwish, if u didnt know, Michael. Go check out. ~ Tazzz ~
@@tazzznphilly Hello, Tazzz, sorry I didn't have time to look at it sooner. I had already seen your Nightwish catalog, so I knew you were familiar with WOA. By the way, Nightwish have been there several times. They were also there in 2008, the year Kings Of Leon released Sex On Fire. However, her 2013 performance was legendary due to her recording production. Wacken is a small village of around 2,000 residents who welcome 75,000 to 85,000 friends to listen to music once a year in August. So now I have written another novel.
@@perrosol-ns4cc8ot4t lolol, well I LOVE ur "novel". 😏. Appreciate the education they often bring. Wow, that IS a small village. That once a year event must enhance the cities prosper to build/fix the town. 🤔
@@tazzznphilly For many metal fans from all continents, Wacken is the Holy Grail that they want to visit once in their life. At the same time, it is one of the most peaceful and safe festivals. There is certainly no financial damage to the village and its residents, but I think the most important thing is the worldwide fame that the place has achieved. Many residents enjoy meeting the fans even if they are generally not metal fans. The festival was characterized by the idealism of the creators, because for them as metal fans there was nothing in the sleepy town except a village pub. Of course, it has long since become a brand, but the worldwide fans enjoy the family atmosphere, if something like that can be possible at this size. Wackennnnn!!!!
Thanks Michael for your Valentine's suggestion for this song. 😏. Thanks for responding to free song post.
