I would love that mirror tray to display my hand blown perfume bottles on. Great find.Very sought after. Same with the carved statue. So good for interior design. I could sell that 10 times over.
That large flower painting reminded me of a Sunday morning show I saw years ago, that featured a man that had a hobby of going to garage sales every Saturday morning looking for framed paintings, his wife hated it, and would never go with him.. One day he found 2 huge paintings of cream flowers on a pure black background, wife thought they were ugly. He sold those 2 paintings at Sotheby's for $1 Million Dollars for the pair!! Needless to say from that day forward the wife tagged along each Saturday with hubby to garage sales. LOL, was a cute Sunday morning show and goes to show you never know what treasure a thrifted item may bring!
One of those statues looks like Saint Therese Lesieux, the little flower saint, (the one with the blue hood). An artist probably did a line of saints. The other one looks like drawings of St. Rita of Cascia. My knowledge is based on years of reading about the lives of saints. You can look up famous female saints and see images and then famous male saints.
Indonesian Statue: years ago I pulled one like it out of a storage unit I was clearing, after winning it at auction. It was that size, but had a back too and was made of concrete. Had some friends helping to clear the unit that day and she admired it, so I gave it to her. She added some paint highlights and it still stands on her front porch today.
I bought Hummels at my Aunts Auction after she passed. I paid $5.00 for one that I knew she paid $200 for. It was from the original molds. I love them because I knew she loved them so much.
The style of the large print from the beginning of the video is becoming very popular. “Moody & dark” vibes are coming back in style. I’ve seen many content creators decorate with this style of print. I agree with your decision to pass on that particular piece because like you said, the frame was cheap & it was just a print. The Capodimonte mirror, however, was absolutely gorgeous! I would’ve grabbed that in a millisecond! Thank you for making hump day an enjoyable one! I’m always excited when I see that you posted a video! Stay well❤
"European Eclectic" is my favorite style. I cannot afford to buy expensive antiques, so I substitue with big items of good quality. "Go big or go home", I always say.
The flowers and butterflies. You were describing how you shipped them, wrapping them in paper, and using a pool noodle on the sharp ends. After that I assume you box them and if not do tell how you do it. Thanks a million!
@@laurenbalin8757 I guess the recipients just bend them back to their correct shape?🙄 The blow molds just wrapped in paper and stuck in a poly bag were even more amazing. [To be clear, the blow molds were in a much earlier video. (Don't want anyone saying "how did I miss that?]
I love your videos. I noticed they are shorter lately. Can you go back to posting linger ones like you used to? I can't get enough of them! You are AWESOME
Love the red handbag. If that is a clear brown color, I think it would be celluloid, but I could be wrong. I think I would use the cat in the bathroom as a spare toilet paper roll holder.
The casserole dish by Johann Haviland is called Blue Garland and very collectible to some. This china was sold at Safeway stores in Texas as a promotion in the 60-70s. Each week a piece would be on special. My mother in law collected this and had 12 full place settings plus serving bowls. Just a little history ... This casserole sales scale varies from $10 - $40.
You beat me to it..The store, I shopped at in the 70s, did the same thing which I purchased. Heck what a memory. I still have it stored in the attic and haven't thought about it such a long time.
@@laurabarker2233 All of this is in storage too! She had everything, duplicates in bowls and I think she had S&P shakers. These are beautiful dishes. Those days are gone for sure, but sweet memories linger!
Karen, I cannot believe that you passed up not only the statue but the mirrored Capital Monte. I would have had them in my basket immediately and I so wish that you would run a cop on both of them. I myself would have bought both of them if you had. Thank you so enjoy your videos
I thought you check out those kickstand kits there was about five of them next to where you purchased the golden leaves If there were any good it would be one listing 5 to 6 items
I’d mount that statue on my bathroom door with a ‘Ladies’ sign above and put the capodimonte tray on the bathroom counter with all my perfume bottles. There, bathroom done!
Hey gal I guessed 53.00 dollars for how much you paid things are adding up nowadays really quickly 50.00 is a lot to me I’m still back in the 70’s lol. I look for a lot of stuff I can make 100.00 on and keep a lot of treasures to enjoy in this life. Hence I have a lot of clutter but very nice things
I love to buy (and sell) good quality ballet costumes (Weisman) and well-made bridal and formal attire. I just love owning these items for a short while until they sell.
Hi Karen, Very interesting items today! Your picks were spot on! Thanks for sharing! BTW, I love the videos where you pull 'solds' from the basement! Have you considered buying a small, high-intensity headlamp to see in the dark corners? It wouldnt matter if it looked goofy on you as you're always behind the camera. But I have an idea that you would look youthful and cute even wearing a headlamp!
New subscriber all the way from Cape Town South Africa🇿🇦🙏. Love all your finds. I wish we had access to so many goodwill stores and options to pick from. Your content is inspiring. Currently sourcing products for my online store launching soon🙏.
I believe you missed the baby Jesus on the shelf with the Joesph and the ithers. Something was there in the very back against the wall. where you couldn't see it. It could have been the baby Jesus. I wish I had Goodwill in my area like you all have in Pennsylvania. I live Indiana and ours are sad.
After you didn’t pick up the Indonesian wood figure and put back the Italian mirror, I’m going to say you are losing your touch, Karen. Love your videos, though!
I'm dying to know about Mary,Joseph & Random Angel. Wish you would've been able to find Baby Jesus. Why is it always Jesus missing??? Have a splendid day🤎🖤🧡😊

I agree I would have gotten the statue for sure. Easy 300 or more
@@jessrouse8475 Yup - people are looking for original objects for decor inside, entrance etc.
Hi Karen! You wonder why Joseph cost more than Mary. It’s because a good man is hard to find !😂
Good one, Marilyn Egit!
Omg…that Indonesian statue is AMAZING. You could flip that locally for over $100 easily.
I Loved that mirror tray as well. I was also thinking it would make a great vanity tray.
Ikr? Thought it was beautiful - especially if there were no chips - would grab it in a heartbeat.🌺

The wooden religious figure is from Arhaus Furniture. I have one just like it.

i have the paper mache angels that go with those figurines made in Japan. i think they are from the 60s
Jeff is correct … I have a bunch of the angels and they are paper mache. Most of mine are labeled Ardco.
They were plastic 🤔

I'm not even a minute into the video and just have to say how beautiful your background is with those gorgeous fall trees peeking thru your windows!!
As an Arizonan, seeing the fall leaves warms my heart - cactuses do not have colored autumn leaves, LOL.🌵🍁
Good morning Karen
Ceramic cowboy boot with a slot like that was likely a flower vase.
The Skips Lady belt would’ve sold just as an oddity & the skull buckle alone would’ve done well. Loved the video 🎉

I asked an long time employer at the bins, where they ship the leftovers; I was told GW puts the stuff on barges and they are shipped off to China.

It did, I have a set of Haviland Limoges (it's beautiful).
The coloring book was so cool! Thank you for another informative video.
I just bought those Hoka shoes, the black ones and I spent over $100 on Zappos...nice score!!
Yes, without a doubt "bleky" (sp) is a word and I have used it many times to describe crappy weather....LOL
Ugly weather all day in Ontario too.
Great deals on the Hokas.
I found that exact sling Crossbody purse😊

The red bag trim is lucite. Bakelite is dense and not translucent like lucite

On the belt that was stapled together, some use the hardware to make punk rock jewelry.
Actually I think it's called Steam punk jewelry. :)
They may put the tag at the bottom because if they put it at the side people complain that it takes off the paint etc.
Great video !
The faded silver isnt DOROTHY THORPE, she did the solid silver and some other desi😅ns but not fading….enjoy!
Sometimes if I can’t comp something on eBay OR Google camera I use Worthpoint and type in what key words I can come up with.
I liked that Biblical doll in blue too.
Skips belt is a popular western wear company in the south.
I love that Indonesian Buddha, the color not so much.. if it was a gold color it would of been better🤗💕
I call goodwill greedwill now
Your store is huge!
Good sales. The Hokas, alone will over pay for the haul.
Dorothy thorp has silver banding rim.😊
That Indonesian statue was beautiful
On those trays wouldn’t you go to the front desk and ask them if they’re really $10 for all of them? Or would take $10
