Big congrats! ❤ As a long-term subscriber, I know all about your journey. I think San Francisco, Seattle, and Washington, D.C., are some of the toughest stores. A ratio for a Mini Kelly seems reasonable.
As a practical person, the reason I enjoy your channel more than other luxury UA-camrs is that you don’t spend money on random things that people often regret-like useless or uncomfortable items. You always aim to make the right choices with Hermes purchases, selecting practical items that can be worn in multiple ways and last for a long time.

I’m not into mini Kellys. I’ll choose a 25 over it for practical reasons. Little bags look great though i prefer mini Chanels instead.

Congrats on your MK!! I have the same one but in palladium hardware🧡 Your pre-spend seems to be pretty normal for the bag since it’s so high in demand! (Crazy expensive though haha) Mine was 3:1 but it was also my first quota bag so that could also be a factor!🎉

I absolutely love it! I don’t carry much with me when I go out so it fits everything I need: lipgloss and a cardholder 😂 I carry my phone in my hand! Sometimes it’s easier to not have anything inside the bag though because it’s definitely tricky to get in and out of!

@@SasaZoeI got a MK from the resale market for $22k a few months ago… I actually don’t love it😂 after all that time waiting and wanting one. It’s just too small for me. I much prefer my Kelly elan, Kelly pochette and Kelly cut. They have more space and feel more elegant. The mini Kelly is nice because it’s the pinnacle of status symbol from Hermes. I’m happy to have one in my collection but I won’t be adding another one anytime soon.

Congratulations, gorgeous bag! Thank you for being so open with your pre spend. It is really appreciated. I’m in Australia and spent 1:1 for a craie B25 after spending nearly 2:1 for a B30 last year. I think it’s all the SA relationship but obviously if you spend big you can get a choice like you did. I thought it was much easier in the USA with much more stock but I guess not

As long as you’re happy with the items you got during the pre-spend, it’s never too much. I was invited for a SO after about a 1:1 ratio and could use that to make a MK but I’m thinking I’d rather do another Birkin as the MK is quite small. Very cute but small for the price.

I just got my mini K Etoupe ghw in Jan 2025 in Singapore. My spending ratio is 1.56. The bag is cute and good for special occasion. But for daily life I still prefer 25 size.

@@SasaZoe I don’t know if it is good or not. My B25 gold on gold is 1.8, C1-24 gold on gold is 0.7 and mini Kelly Etoupe ghw is 1.56. Anyway we can’t compare because everyone has different experiences, SA, store location or their stocks. As long as we enjoy all items then it is ok 👌.

My SA is always nice to me and I am not pushing her, it’s out of her control as I am asking for a color that is not easy to get. She said she is looking out for me, so will see. Ratio is not important, as long as you are happy with all your purchases. Enjoy all the beautiful jewelry and the bag! It’s a life time piece! ❤

@ MK with any grey color but I just added more color ways on my wish so hopefully 🤞 makes it more easier for my SA to get it for me. it will be my first MK and really hoping I can get it this year. 😅

because I still don’t own any quota bags so I had a MK on my wish for over 2 years now but I am slowly giving up on that. Am I done after a MK? No I don’t think so, because I still own zero quota bags 🤣🙏🏻 but as far I see my “collection “ going I think I will be pretty happy with just 3 bags… A MK and two K25. And that’s it. I don’t like the B at all and it’s not my style.
Also I am not a collector, so just few bags in the right colour I think it’s enough for me. I don’t have to collect them all like Pokémon 🙈🩵

I’ve also noticed that SAs in Paris are more likely to respond and accept IG influencers as clients instead of “normal” people these days. How sad right?

I think spending ratio has to be seen on an individual store basis because bags are distributed in store based on what that store receives. The store than looks at the spending of that store's customers. Customers at each store are basically competing against each other for the bags. The higher the competition in an individual store, the higher the pre spend ratio.

Congratulations for your mini Kelly! I have to admit my mini Kelly is my less used Hermès bag of all my quota bags just because it’s so small. I’m in Southern California and my spending was around 25k to get it. But things are changing quickly in Hermès and maybe this year I would have had to spend way more, who knows. I’m not pursuing any Hermès bag and don’t really shop in the boutique anymore, so I won’t really know where things are going. I’m taking a break hoping that the craze will get down a little bit.

@ No I really don’t, I have so many pieces from Hermès that I cannot even think of adding more and more. It happens to me with all the brands, at one point, I take a break and enjoy what I already have instead of constantly adding.

Why don’t you just buy straight from a high end reseller? This is what I do and I get exactly what I want. In my case I just want the bags not all the other stuff. I got a beautiful mini Kelly in vert vertigo with gold hardware. Agreed on black bags and I think pops of color looks great with small bags. I tend to go for non black bags in my Hermes collection because Hermes does colors so well unlike any other brand.

I saw a video on instagram, say, "Jewellery cloth can remove the sticker residues. The sticker residues are stubborn stains and not easy to remove, and many people think the hardware is tarnished. I remover all my stickers. But I haven't used my Birkin. I was thinking of leaving the sticker on lol 😂

@SasaZoe I do drive. But I lost a lot of weight (lost 20kg) from walking and doing public transport. I enjoy this lifestyle now. And holding my Birkin look out of place if I use public transport. I am using more of my Hermes non quota bags or my Louis vuitton bags for public transport. I got my Birkin 30 in Chevre leather gold hardware in Vert Cypress colour. I am on my journey to get Birkin 25 in neutral colours with my SA. We see. Birkin bags don't suit my lifestyle now. But I don't mind getting my second Birkin and keep for future use. I won't do Kelly bags because Kelly bags are just not for me. It's too hard to get in and out for Kelly bags 🥰

One of the things I wonder is if you will get only this bag offer or another in January with your pre spend or at least an invite to an event. I feel like at the end of the day if you visited you SA multiple times and had a great experience everytime then it’s not horrible. If the bag is $20,000+ on the resell websites then I would rather spend $10,000 on jewelry or something else at Hermes like even non quota bags. I saw a video and she said that she spent $50,000 including her birkin over two years to get it but now she has a few non quota bags, a watch, etc if I am spending this much on a bag I want to go to the store and be given tea, samples, have nice chats with an SA, the experience is what luxury is about.
You mean I'll get another QB without prespend? :) I got invited to a few different events, but some are not what I'm interested in.
At the VIP events they offer bags and will even save bags for the event. You are allowed two quota bags a year and just had a huge spend in a small amount of time so you may be entitled to a second. Plus you spent money on other items when you got this Kelly bag. Hopefully they should offer you something else soon or at least in January or February.

The spend ratio is becoming crazier day by day..I ended up spending 2:1 for K25 SO ..for mini Kelly is almost 4:1 or 5:1 seems to be the norm..ugh..sometimes I just feel like it’s totally not worth it..easier to buy resale

I was wondering about my prespend as well. As I just got an offer from Hermes last month for a Birkin 25 gold on gold (just like your combo. 😉) and my pre-spend was 2.2:1 😢The price of birkin in Thailand converted to USD is around $13,120. Basically, I spent over $28,xxx (excluded the bag) in order to get a B25 offer. 😵💫 I’m not sure if it’s better to get from the retail store or from the boutique… what do you think about my prespend? 🥲
