I agree. And I think we will. I don't think they'd tease it like that with no payoff in mind. But I would guess it won't be this season. Thanks for commenting and watching!
Rogue: * on one knee giving his ring to the Doctor * "Oh! Oh god....I realy think he's going to die now" was not on my bingo card of reactions to this moment but it did make me laugh cause I felt the drama in your voice. Great reaction.
🤣 Thank you very much. I can't help but see setups like that coming sometimes. There was just too much genuine emotion and symbolism in that moment. I'm really glad they didn't kill him and I'm really looking forward to the Doctor finding him again. Probably next season. Thanks so much for commenting and watching!
Yeah. Too many stories of lost friends and loved ones. I just couldn't remember if he'd said it to a parent's face like that before. But I figured I was probably wrong. Thanks for the comment and for watching!
@@SeenEverything He made a similar promise to Rory's dad and to Bill when she asked him to keep her safe and told Clara that he had a duty of care more than once. And none of that worked out as planned.
Thanks, Andrew! ⏳ I love Jonathan Groff! I first got to know him in GLEE (2010 through 2015). Be sure to catch him as the scene-stealing 'King George' in HAMILTON (2020)... and if you're ever in the mood for a mystery/thriller/horror he knocked my socks off in KNOCK AT THE CABIN (2023).
I just saw an old interview where he was promoting Knock at the Cabin. Always meant to watch that one. I also know that he just won a Tony award. He seems like a very talented person.
I appreciate the compliment and the subscription. I could think of nothing more perfect to capture the heart of the episode. I too look forward to being done with all that editing. 😴 Thank you for commenting and for watching!
Captain Jack was a time agent turned con artist. I wouldn't put it past him to take a bounty hunter job if it was offered though. Timelords are technically shapeshifters. It's just that most of them can only do it twelve times. Regarding the two aliens acting like a human couple in private, I think that was just them playing, pretending to be over dramatic humans for fun. I don't think they knew Ruby were there. I think that's just part of how they play their game.
I thought that was the case about Captain Jack, but I couldn't remember if he'd been a bounty hunter at some point. I thought about Timelords actually being shapshifters later. Didn't connect the dots mentally in the moment. That didn't occur to me about the two aliens just staying character for fun. Makes sense. They are there to cosplay after all. Thanks for your comment and thanks for watching!
🤣 That would certainly take just about everyone by surprise! Though in his own way, he would be the one who waits for the Doctor to find him. Thanks for commenting and watching!
Did he audition? I understood that before he landed the role of The Doctor, he'd told his agent that he'd love to play Wonka or Doctor Who. I haven't seen anything that indicates he auditioned for Wonka.
@@saucermcflycorrect he found out about the auditions because he contacted his agent and said I'd love to do something like willy wonka and they told him about the doctor who audition.
16:40 to the Chuldur, humans clearly aren't meaningful or valuable. Amusing and cosmetically useful, but it doesn't matter if they live or die. Humans have a very similar hostory with... well, basically every other lifeform we've ever encountered.
That certainly seems to track with how freely they kill humans. But they also seem endlessly fascinated with human life. Makes you wonder what life is like on their home world.
I completely missed that and I wasn't familiar with the Scream of Shalka animated series. Always good to see them canonize EU stories. Though further complicated by Richard E. Grant playing the Great Intelligence. If they want to get really crazy, they should canonize Peter Cushing. 🤣 Thanks for the comment and for watching.
I really need the doctor to find rogue again, they're amazing together!

The Doctor has made the promise to keep his companions safe many times before. Not always successfully.

Possibly. 🙂
Great reaction! I loved the episode and I am sure we will see Rogue again in upcoming seasons.
Thanks so much! I think the Doctor will find Rogue again too. Looking forward to it. Thanks for commenting and watching!
Subscribing just for that intro with Rogue's iconic lines this episode... I'll look forward to your other videos, as they're edited!

Why there aren't any other episodes? 🤔 Because of wibbly wobbly timey wimey 😎🍵
Absolutely wibbly wobbly timey wimey reasons. Now I have to go back in time and fix it. 🙃 Thanks for watching!
I believe Rogue is going to be the one who waits

@@SeenEverything yes definitely true and you’re welcome
I also started my channel and learning to edit not long ago. I wish you luck and fun on your journey 🙂
And to you as well on your continued channel growth. Looks like I have some catching up to do. Thank you for the comment and for watching.
Willy Wonka reference is because Ncuti originally auditioned for the role but didn't get it, so he was having fun with this line.
I did not know that. I did like Timothée Chalamet's performance, but Ncuti would have done amazingly in that part too. Thanks for watching!

Bath is where Jane Austen was from!
Aha! Makes sense.
4th face, REG is canon, will we get the Shalka Doctor in the future?

I see the Chekhov's gun of the episode was identified early on 😅
I had a feeling it would be important.
Your British accent is quite good 😊
🤣 Yep. Me and Dick Van Dyke. Truly authentic. Thank you for the comment and for watching!
