I'm 67 and grew up listening to CCR. This is the best music I have heard since the 70's. Because of this song I listened to other songs by The Red Clay Strays and they are all good.
CCR is exactly how I found this song. They are my favorite and bc I listen to so many CCR songs on Pandora, the app suggested this song and I was sold. On another note, my husband and I are going to see John Fogerty next month and I am over the moon excited. I just wish my Daddy was still alive to go with us.

The drummer though, he stole the show. dude is electric and LOVES the music they make. you can tell he just feels it. Studio is great, acoustic stuff on here is better, but LIVE, man. you are not joking.
My 5 year old has been fighting cancer. Tumor was removed june 21st we are going through last rounds of chemo. I've watched so much suffering in my child. I heard this song and it describes how I have to carry myself day to day. I act happy and show my daughter happy emotions. But I'm so cold when alone . I'm so angry at God. Her cancer has been straight forward and she has done so well and thank God we haven't had too many curve balls with her cancer. End of August she gets her scans back and I pray she is cancer free. I can't take much more. I'll always be "fine " for her but life is crumbling around me. I can't remember the last time I was happy. The times I appear happy I'm only relieved because my daughter isn't puking or in pain or telling me she's dying. The things I've seen no man should have to. I'll never forget the pain. 😊
My heart goes out to you. Praying for y'all and I'm so sorry to hear that y'all had to go through this all. It breaks my heart to hear about any child having to go through the big c word. Whew. I wish I could hug you through this phone

After stumbling across the Red Clay Strays on YT and binge-watching every video of them I could find, I'm officially obsessed with this band. They've managed to accomplish something truly unique - an original sound that borrows from rock, country, Americana and gospel but it's also a sound that cannot be easily pigeon-holed. Brandon looks like a cross between Elvis and David Bowie, and I love how he subtly throws in Elvis "moves" and vocalizations...his vocals and range are stunning! The rest of the band are all amazing musicians in their own right. Can't wait to see more from this awesome, talented group.

Okay , I am an eclectic music junkie but not a country music fan excluding all the classics my parents played growing up. This is beyond new and special. Hoping the sky for this band.
I had never heard of this band until the summer of 2023 when I was working at the Under the Big Sky Festival and when they got on stage I was absolutely mesmerized and totally fell in love that day. I for sure regret that even though I had complete back stage acess as part of my job I was super intimidated and in awe to go up and express my appreciation for them coming to perform in pretty much my backyard. They were so so amzing live and hands down the best performers at that festival. I was so so lucky to have gotten to experience that show, next time I will make sure to not allow myself to be to scared to go ask them to sign my shirt!!! I totally fell that day :)

Wow! Couldn’t have said it better! Saw them open for Elle King in Austin, and, like you-they absolutely blew me away! The drummer was amazing to watch (made me think of Animal (the muppets!). Was lucky enough to see them again this past month at their sold out show at Gruene Hall! Phenomenal!

Heard this song for the first time today while scanning the car radio for Christmas music. Had to stop and listen. Then I had to turn the radio off. Nothing could follow it. I heard the band and song; then kept repeating them to myself so I wouldn't forget. After listening a whole lot more here on this You Tube Channel, it's time to buy the album. Wow. I'm sure I don't fit the usual demographics, but this music will appeal to anyone who recognizes not just excellence, but something unique as well.

Heard this song for the first time today while scanning the car radio for Christmas music. Had to stop and listen. Then I had to turn the radio off. Nothing could follow it. I heard the band and song; then kept repeating them to myself so I wouldn't forget. After listening a whole lot more here on this You Tube Channel, it's time to buy the album. Wow. I'm sure I don't fit the usual demographics, but this music will appeal to anyone who recognizes not just excellence, but something unique as well.
