Mam I have a question that green plants have chlorophyll and they do photosynthesis then pitcher plant is also green then why they do not make their own food
Hi there! Thank you for asking such an interesting question! Pitcher plants, unlike green plants, don't contain chlorophyll, so they are unable to photosynthesize. Instead, they get their nutrients from the bugs they catch in their pitchers! Fascinating, isn't it?
No,it is wrong pitcher plants contains chlorophyll.actual reason is they grow on soil that dificient in nitrogen.
Picher plant also do photosynthesis but they need nitrogen that they take from isects that 's why they trap isects

If photosynthesis performed in day light,dont they need food at night ?
Certainly! During the day, photosynthesis occurs, allowing plants to create their own food. At night, they rely on stored energy in the form of starch. 🌿🌞🌙
In day plants do light reaction and in night do dark reactions....you will study in 10th and 11th class...in class 11th you learn deeply....in biology
Plants don't need food at night because they store sugars as starches during the day and use them at night. Plants also continue to respire at night, which is the( process of taking in oxygen and releasing carbon dioxide as they burn stored carbohydrates for growth and other metabolic functions.)
The bracket statement is also the reason for which we shouldn't be going near plants at night.
