The only point to add is that if you want to increase space in C drive then you need to divide the space in the drive which is very next to C drive. then only it will work. For Example if you have C , D , and E drive hen you can't make out space for C drive by dividing E drive, you need to target D drive
Question - If you only have C and D and now you have a new E drive - can you not simply transfer the space from the E drive to C? Rather than copying the files from D to E than transferring D to C? or does the same logic work for this scenario?

That is becuz the unallocated space should be just beside your C drive in Disk management, if the free unallocated space is not available just beside the drive which you want to extend, it you not give you the option to extend volume..

Unallocate the disk which is just the right side of C dirve. Suppose the nearest right side drive of C is D then you must unallocate the D drive. If you unallocate other drive then it might not work.

7:46 Extend Volume Option will be highlighted only when while Installing the OS you have not created any partition ( Which happen mostly in the case of SSDs which has low space eg.256GB, 512GB etc.So nobody or company create the partition while Installing the Operating System). If you have created any partition this option will be greyed out...then you have to use any 3rd party software.....

Note: if you see Healthy recovery partition (499 +-mb) is next to C Drive it's not work. Bxz in when creating partition windows automatically create additional 2 drive. If your c partition in second place it's won't work

I can't select extend volume on the C drive because it's grayed

Note: if you see Healthy recovery partition (499 +-mb) is next to C Drive it's not work. Bxz in when creating partition windows automatically create additional 2 drive. If your c partition in second place it's won't work

@@mychefm5019 You can only extend a volume with space that is directly to the right of itself. the position in the horizontal bar of the unallocated space does actually matter

@Toasty yt unallocated drive MUST be right beside it, there should not be any drive between unallocated and C drive.
