Thanks for the good advice. I updated to IOS 16 the other day which made me suspect that it was a software issue. I just didin't know how to restart the phone since there was no touch working at all. The volume up, volume down, hold power button saved my life

@@seasversion i went to the apple store in my town and they told me the screen needs replaced... but my phone is in such great condition im not sure how the screen would be damaged. However in your case i think you will need a screen replacement imo... hope this helped

mine didn't work. my screen cracked back a few months ago and I didn't wanna take it to get it repaired so I bought a new screen and put it on myself but it didn't come with a water seal and I think it doesn't work because I take it with me to the bathroom when I shower to watch vids like the infographic show while I shower and the steam gets in. I disconnected the screen before and it worked after that but my dumbass took it back into the shower again and the screen doesn't work anymore. disconnected the screen again but that way doesn't work anymore either. Ima go get it checked to see if it's a screen problem. if it is ill just buy a new screen and put it on myself. with a seal ofc. fuck paying $200 when I could buy a screen for $60. if it's not the screen then ill just buy a new phone smh🤦♂️hopefully not cuz i wanna wait for the 13 to come out.

I was really about to cry. 😭 If your phone’s Face ID doesn’t work (mine was deadbatt and I had just charged it) , just try to repeat the whole process just have some patience it took me atleast 15-30 minutes and was really losing hope where my phone just then rebooted on its own. Voila! The screen now works. Such a lifesaver man!

I'll repeat Fire Cat below - A LIFESAVER!!!!!!! Same as below - freaking out what was happening with my iPhone10 because the screen was totally blocked. The camera and torch buttons worked, but blocked again immediately. also for me, it took a few tries, then it finally worked! THANKS
The problem is, i can swipe but i cant tap anyhting on my phone, or volume iup and down didnt work. I wasnt able to go into setting since i cant tap anything.

it won’t work for me tho.. i do the touch up down and kick the lock button but it asks to swipe .. but i can’t swipe because touch won’t work
