Another clever thing I noticed is that "Roots" is a play on words. "Root" is a computing term that means an admin user. Boyfriend and Senpai have admin rights, therefore, they are "root" users.

This song sounds strangely sad. Treacherous Thorns was about a fight at full power for survival, Roots is about a hopeless struggle to save a dying world. Even the spirit realizes that this is his end. This entire song gives off a 'end of everything' vibe, as if both sides are at full power, but the world has very clearly already decided its fate. I LOVE this song.

Being honest, I think this is the saddest and most incredible week of the mod, not only because the spirit stopped being "evil" and tried to save its world (which would also save the outside world), but also because bf not even tried to transformed him, he went straight to kill him, aside, he was the one who gave him the most intense battle and put a little faith in us, big senpai and spirit.

Nope, it's more like he knew it was the end and just decided to take BF down with him.
Yet, he failed and was deleted, that's what this song represents: Spirit trying to keep BF inside the game, but failing to do so as he is overpowered by corruption

Still wish my theory of BF's soul being lost while Senpai took the corrupted body into the real world panned out. But this senpai... He died trying to kill the monster instead. Dying a hero even after Daddy dearest put his soul into the game... He died human.

That's because in this mod, you play as the corruption. You know how in MM's week you play as Pico? Even if his skin was showing out he kept on fighting. That's possibly why the background goes like that.

This is honestly one of the saddest songs in the mod. Deep down, Spirit knows his fate is inevitable either way. However, a part of him still believes that he can stop the corruption. It isn't until about the last quarter of the song when he finally fully accepts his fate. That's the sad part.
This is THE saddest song in the mod. Over Discharge, over Deathmatch, over Lament, Maybe even in all of fnf + modding, except for maybe Umbra.
Remember, the Administrator is SENPAI.DATA, he accepted the request to be deleted at the end of the song, he accepted his fate.
@@atomic5989 well there is one last theory. In the debug mode senpai and spirit are different entities, meaning that if senpai turned into spirit, he wouldn’t be the administrator anymore. Thus making corrupted bf being able to delete him.

This is probably my favorite corruption song. The pure attention to detail, the fact this song is a bop, the scenario, everything just fits together so well. It has that sort of "all is lost" feeling, and it also fits so well with how Senpai/Spirit has given up on trying to escape, and how he's attempting to save the outside world since he can't save Hating Simulator. I also love the ending, just the whole week was perfect. The way it ends with Spirit's face returning to its normal depressed look, the way the song dies down at the end, it's just so perfect. Makes me super stoked for the final Daddy Dearest song, you can tell it's gonna be a hell of a finale to the series.

I thought the final song of week 6 would be like, Spirit deciding to go over his limits to destroy himself and BF, but when I saw him saying the words "I'm going to take you down with me" I knew he would not survive. My theory. Lemon Demon's corruption can't get into the game cuz the game thinks its a virus. So bf commanded pico to fight MM while he's making a glitch to enter the game. After Pico defeating MM, Bf has done making the glitch and entered the game.
The spirit thinks he can beat bf so hes confident that's why he's face looks like that. But at the end, he just changed to his normal face cause he knew there's no more way of saving his world. He doesn't want to get corrupted so he had no other choices but to delete himself and the game
