This song sounds strangely sad. Treacherous Thorns was about a fight at full power for survival, Roots is about a hopeless struggle to save a dying world. Even the spirit realizes that this is his end. This entire song gives off a 'end of everything' vibe, as if both sides are at full power, but the world has very clearly already decided its fate. I LOVE this song.

Being honest, I think this is the saddest and most incredible week of the mod, not only because the spirit stopped being "evil" and tried to save its world (which would also save the outside world), but also because bf not even tried to transformed him, he went straight to kill him, aside, he was the one who gave him the most intense battle and put a little faith in us, big senpai and spirit.
How? I just found it so cheap how BF became a ripoff of Tricky and somehow got his admin/hacker powers to ctrl alt delete spirit. Edit: The reason why I called corrupted BF a ripoff of Tricky is because since Phantom fear is part of the FNF fandom, it's so painfully obvious how he played the Tricky mod, researched Tricky's powers, and was like "hey I have an idea for my edgy milked corruption mod!" Edit 2: Fine, I stand corrected.

I think he accepted to be deleted because he was tired of the suffering the world has gone through, listen if I was in an empty world unable to stop some villain from destroying everything I would rather die than just face the end of the world... At least that's what I think

That's because in this mod, you play as the corruption. You know how in MM's week you play as Pico? Even if his skin was showing out he kept on fighting. That's possibly why the background goes like that.

I thought the final song of week 6 would be like, Spirit deciding to go over his limits to destroy himself and BF, but when I saw him saying the words "I'm going to take you down with me" I knew he would not survive. And yeah, after hearing the song, Spirit getting deleted, I knew there was no hope, the corruption overpowered him... Still an amazing song but it's really sad
The sad thing is that despite senpai being corrupted he still tries to maintain hope and also tries to sing his old songs, where at one point you can hear him sing thorns but then degrades of back into unknown song

I love the parts where BF just cuts in on Spirit rapping. Proving that he’s just a soulless husk of the corruption with no patience or any other emotions.
This is probably my favorite corruption song. The pure attention to detail, the fact this song is a bop, the scenario, everything just fits together so well. It has that sort of "all is lost" feeling, and it also fits so well with how Senpai/Spirit has given up on trying to escape, and how he's attempting to save the outside world since he can't save Hating Simulator. I also love the ending, just the whole week was perfect. The way it ends with Spirit's face returning to its normal depressed look, the way the song dies down at the end, it's just so perfect. Makes me super stoked for the final Daddy Dearest song, you can tell it's gonna be a hell of a finale to the series.
This is honestly one of the saddest songs in the mod. Deep down, Spirit knows his fate is inevitable either way. However, a part of him still believes that he can stop the corruption. It isn't until about the last quarter of the song when he finally fully accepts his fate. That's the sad part.

This song is really an incredible mix of sadness, hope, happiness... You can really feel like it's the *end of the world.* at least, is the end of the world Senpai knew. But is really amazing how you can feel the final last stand and hope vibe.
I liked how it has parts of Thorns, but still remains its own thing. It sounds less like a fight and more a song of acceptance. Spirit knows he's not winning, but he has to at least give it his all. The song sounds so harmonic, an acceptance of the end of the world in a final battle. Traveling back to it's roots where it began as nothing. Because he's fighting for his life. His existence. But he already knows he can't win.

What I’ve gathered: The game cartridge didn’t allow Corrupt BF in because the code actively denies Monster’s access, and is the reason why BF appears normal but only speaks in scripts. Soul was the one hacking and breaching into the game, likely because he needs as much help to take down Monster and “Delete Senpai file” was not intended to erase him from existence, but to revert him back to the last save point, since the game glitched out so much. But the games code prevented a file before Treacherous Thorns because of the fact Spirit destroyed so much of the game already, leaving Hating Simulator in a glitched out state. The reason Senpai/Spirit was so erratic in the latest week was because he believed he’s going to be killed again, and since he doesn’t know BF is no longer corrupted, Senpai spared BF because he noticed he was cured of Monster’s influence, but he believes nothing can be done about the Corruption, so he chose to stay in the cartridge, rotting away in between two crumbling worlds.
I cried when senpai's crazy face turned back to the original- It looked like he knew it was the end. Please help me stop crying over a forbidden piece of gum?.. And i knew when i heard this, It was already the end, I felt it in my gut, AND I WAS RIGHT GOD DAMN IT :(

And yeah, after hearing the song, Spirit getting deleted, I knew there was no hope, the corruption overpowered him...

The sad thing is that despite senpai being corrupted he still tries to maintain hope and also tries to sing his old songs, where at one point you can hear him sing thorns but then degrades of back into unknown song

I love the parts where BF just cuts in on Spirit rapping. Proving that he’s just a soulless husk of the corruption with no patience or any other emotions.

This is probably my favorite corruption song. The pure attention to detail, the fact this song is a bop, the scenario, everything just fits together so well. It has that sort of "all is lost" feeling, and it also fits so well with how Senpai/Spirit has given up on trying to escape, and how he's attempting to save the outside world since he can't save Hating Simulator. I also love the ending, just the whole week was perfect. The way it ends with Spirit's face returning to its normal depressed look, the way the song dies down at the end, it's just so perfect. Makes me super stoked for the final Daddy Dearest song, you can tell it's gonna be a hell of a finale to the series.

This is honestly one of the saddest songs in the mod. Deep down, Spirit knows his fate is inevitable either way. However, a part of him still believes that he can stop the corruption. It isn't until about the last quarter of the song when he finally fully accepts his fate. That's the sad part.
This is THE saddest song in the mod. Over Discharge, over Deathmatch, over Lament, Maybe even in all of fnf + modding, except for maybe Umbra.
This masterpiece has Rooted itself in my head, I've listened to it on loop for hours.

What I’ve gathered:
The game cartridge didn’t allow Corrupt BF in because the code actively denies Monster’s access, and is the reason why BF appears normal but only speaks in scripts.
Soul was the one hacking and breaching into the game, likely because he needs as much help to take down Monster and “Delete Senpai file” was not intended to erase him from existence, but to revert him back to the last save point, since the game glitched out so much. But the games code prevented a file before Treacherous Thorns because of the fact Spirit destroyed so much of the game already, leaving Hating Simulator in a glitched out state.
The reason Senpai/Spirit was so erratic in the latest week was because he believed he’s going to be killed again, and since he doesn’t know BF is no longer corrupted, Senpai spared BF because he noticed he was cured of Monster’s influence, but he believes nothing can be done about the Corruption, so he chose to stay in the cartridge, rotting away in between two crumbling worlds.
