I am going to start listening to this man-- Andy Stanley as long as his dad Charles Stanley has step down as pastor of his church in Atlanta after 50 years!! I really hope Andy is just a good of a pastor as his dad Charles is!!

Pastor Andy (as I call him) is a great guide for making consciously better choices, understanding that the different things we do, say, and think, from the inside out make the ultimate story that is our lives. Many of us learn through tough experiences that could’ve been avoided if we knew what to look out for. We end up with regrets, Pastor Andy Stanley gives us food for thought on how to learn from our experiences, and how to grow in foresight and listening skills. He teaches a lot, literally the who, what, when, where and HOW (the big one) “to make better decisions and live with fewer regrets”.

Andy Stanley takes a lot of liberty when retelling the happenings of Christ. Like I get why he adds his own dialogue and makes assumptions. He has to appeal to his audience. But no need to garnish the Bible with your own personal interpretation and storytelling. But what I found most unsatisfactory is that he does not go into the suffering of Christ on the Cross as the true inspiration for us overcoming our fears. It's not just that Jesus died and rose again, that doesn't tell the whole story. The real story is that he died for OUR sins and he received the holy punishment that was meant for us. That is how much our Lord loves us. We were his enemy, we were his betrayers, we are sinners who live in the world, and yet he chose to sacrifice himself for us to show us his great love. We were slaves and our master gave up his unblemished sanctity to become a curse, all for our sake. This is why we do not have to be afraid, there is NOTHING our lord will not do and cannot do for those who are in Him. He went to the deepest reaches of hell and loved us in that dark place.

,Andy Stanley. as many have noted, is drifting further and further from the truth of God's Word as time passes.
