The upscaling still worse than DLSS, and the Frame Generation is bad, that higher FPS are useless because the game looks choppier than native frames, it doesen't feel smooth, and the latency only makes it worse
not sure if improved but looks better , has some new antialiasing, also frame gen feels nice, but has its trick, you need to have more or less good enough base to feel great while using it, you can check the frametime, forspoken has some issues while testing it soo its smooth with certain configs, best way to make the frametime smooth as well as frame gen is to have atleast 45 fps base native or more and check the frame time , with 3060 using quality and fs3 feels amazing, but you can tweak it to make it feel better, the input lag its not big atleast with controller.

FSR3 FG not being tied to hardware is a huge win here. We all know AI is the future of gaming as games get more demanding and if FSR can continue to match blows with DLSS it will ultimately be the most popular as it works on every GPU not just AMD's newest tech. DLSS is nice but it comes at a premium but Nvidia don't really care though they cashed in on AI market around march when chatgpt 4 blew up the industry creating an AI race.
I would like to point out that you've most likely exceeded the gpu memory and as such the frame rate isn't actually what the card could theoretically achieve. the best way to know is if the total power at full load isnt pushing up against the power limit and virtually every modern gpu will push up against that limit on stock. the stock tdp for a 2060 is 160w at full load and that is the reference model, most 3rd party models have a higher power limit than that. other than that the only other thing it can be is a gpu undervolt but based on the core clock i find this unlikely. a side note is that core utilization isnt always indicative of actual load. i.e. if your memory is too slow or the data being requested is somewhere else (system ram instead of gpu ram, hdd/ssd) then it will still show 100% load but it is in fact waiting for that data to get to it, this is also the same with cpus which is why faster ram can make the same cpu give different results or more ram allows multiple apps to be open with the same level of responsiveness. not a hater but pointing out an error in your testing methodology.
I have tried lowering my 2060 gpu core clock by -350 Mhz from 1900 to 1550 cap at 0,725 V it runs most games at 60 fps or more in 1440p and i was able to down the power from 167 W to 95-100 W and temps below 60°C. I don't know how is this possible with such a frequency and power "cut"
Turn the vsync on, it will feel much better, if you want the best smoothness and frametime while using frame gen, you must use vsync + cap the frames at 80fps in RivaTurner.
can confirm turning vsync on doesn't change this. 60fps native feels and looks smoother than 100fps with FG enabled. This includes using reflex and forced low latency options.
To use FSR 3 + FG need a GPU with raytracing units so its not sitting duck put them on use pushing normal raster, dont waste time GTX or older RX without raytrace unit intel Arc its lucky has those unit.

Fala, Geralt! Isso ai é da água pro vinho mesmo? Como fica a questão do imput lag em 2k? Indo de 30 pra 60fps não ficou ruim? Sobre qualidade de imagem do FSR3, da pega no DLSS? Valeu!

did you notice any reduction in quality when you enabled fsr 3?
No, visually there is no reduction in quality when enabling FG, and basic upcalling seems to look better than before.
A card that didn't run well in QHD now gives good fps
It would be great if you could use Dlss together with Fsr frame generator
I liked it when in the past AMD used FSR CAS in games to just give games sharpness
I notice the input latency of FG so I don't use it. But for people who don't good for them. 👍
I hope cyberpunk and Starfield get FSR 3 frame gen support
WoW! 1440p 80-100 FPS with RTX 2060 in Forspoken?!!.. Nice Work AMD!
in stills , fsr can look good, but the moment there is any motion involved , dlss becomes the better option,

don't you think that the increased fps due to generation feels like it remains at the same level as without generation?
i suggest to cap frame rate at 80fps or use v-sync run much better
Has the upscaling itself improved? Is it closer to DLSS now or still the same?
How does the frame gen feel?

Barely playable, to high refresh rate, the fact this is goin to be universal eventually, that's incredible.

@@sanithmc9638 FSR might be good for open world games and things, but probably not competitive ones.
can you combine dlss upscaling with fsr FG? or are you locked to fsr upscaling?
I don't know how is this possible with such a frequency and power "cut"
what happen with this RTX 2060? I just saw a vga rx 6600 gaming video can boost fps 40%! maybe FSR 3+frame gen only optimal for AMD radeon
I tried it today and yes, I increased it from 40 to 80 fps, but it feels like it's the same 40 fps
When the competition does more for you card and for free:
So how does it feel when you playing though
What's the difference between native AA and quality
this should have been a amd exclusive only. they could sell a ton of amd gpu with this.
To use FSR 3 + FG need a GPU with raytracing units so its not sitting duck put them on use pushing normal raster, dont waste time GTX or older RX without raytrace unit intel Arc its lucky has those unit.
Radeon RX 5000 Series without Ray can run FG without any problems.
I tried it with my 2060 as well. Doesn't look good. You can see the Ghosting while using fsr.
How is the fsr 3 looks as compare to fsr2
How do you get this on the 20 series. I thought it was only available to 7000 cards in beta atm?
AMD also said it will work on RTX 20/30/40 and AMD RX 5700 or better.
Now you can play games at .05p. Wonderful
Older gpus like 1050 ti support it?
Now give us FSR3 in Cyberpunk.
why is 1% low that compared to average when using frame gen ? is this the same behavior with dlss frame gen ? does it make the game feel stuttery ?

This is why I prefer FSR as a tech. I know DLSS is better quality but...especially with DLSS 3, only those who fork out for Nvidia's latest(and expensive) 4000 series can really use it fully. FSR has the RX590 as is it's minimum required hardware.
