Just worked up 530 acres today and we planted about half just to get started. We have a new 9rx 590 on one of our planters. Nice tractor but a little overkill for a 24row planter but it will pull a 40ft anhydrous applicator this fall and it pulls hard. Maybe someday I'll get to run the new tractor but in the mean time I'll stay in the 9rx620! I sit in a 8rx410 on the cart in the fall

    Thanks for the update Thomas!
In NE Kansas as of April the 15th probably 80% of the planters are running. Some on soybeans and some on corn. The soil conditions are probably as ideal as we have seen them for a long time for no-till farming! Most likely we will have rain the rest of this week so we are expecting to be idle for awhile.

Thankfully we managed to get into the fields on Friday and Saturday, before that it was too wet and it's supposed to get even wetter next week. Over those days, we made rows for the carrots, had them seeded by a contractor, seeded the sugar beets, cultivated two fields, weeded the onions and garlic, and checked a winter grain field for bitter dock.

We are spraying right now, hoping for a rain to activate the herbicides.

Glad the weather is cooperating for you guys so you can get out into the fields. Love the drone footage. Thanks so much Thomas!

Thomas, its so cool that you've reached almost 10K subs! That's quite a feat! With all the new subs, including myself, could you give a quick explanation of a few farm used terms and especially the DEF (also I think I've heard it called Government juice) What is DEF and what does it do/why is it required by the government. My guess would be something to do with emissions but I really have no clue. Thanks!

So a 640 burns 26 an hour at 7 mph with 60.ft, i pull 65 with a 9630t at 7 and it might burn 24. Shows how inefficient a quad is. No i don't hate quads, i have one and love it.Those stats really make me question the 640hp, it will be interesting to see how it handles a big 2730.
