@@baandoptager I understand that with covid promos, that 3600 can flip to 4500 real quick the next year. It's also def not subsidized so subject to market rate hikes. I can't imagine having to move/logistics after a year due to that.
@@rocketman3770 I doubt it. And even so, plenty of places to have had same style, same size for way less. Again fi-di isn't really a desirable place to live, that's why it's been struggling to convert office buildings to condos. But it won't help, it's a day area, Dunkin donuts and shitty pizza. That's about it.
Congrats, Sam. As a young person moving to NYC (FIDI as well) to pursue film, you've certainly made it in my book. Thanks for the tour as well as your other content. Very inspiring.
This all looks "legit" and honest. As someone that lives in NYC, this honesty and clarity is deeply appreciated, from the furniture choices to the cost.
Hey loved the video and awesome place!! I just wanted to ask, could you pls make a video on why it’s worth living in New York for that price, and also your total monthly costs in rent (office, house rentals etc). Just really interested in the advantages and disadvantages of living there. I’ve been to New York a couple of times as a tourist and loved the energy!
Sam actually using the supreme colgate toothpaste! Haha love it. I've been watching you for years man (since verge days) and it's awesome to see how far you've come and love the content you've put out over the years!
3600 USD, wow. I live in Denmark, bought a 150m2 house and the morgage, electricity and taxes adds up to 750 USD per month. It even has a large garden. Why anyone would pay 3600 USD for a small apartment is a mystery to me. - Even if its in New York.
Hey, I have the same Harmon Kardon receiver. Unfortunately I can't run it in stereo because the left channel cuts in and out. But I keep it because it sounds awesome.
I went to a few G3 concerts and they were amazing. Got a cd signed by John Petrucchi and then Yngwie signed right over his signature lol. Beacon theater and out In long island’s Mulcahy’s. Such awesome memories.
Was that a 12.9” iPad M1 iPad Pro? I never thought I would love the 12.9 and my wife bought me one with the keyboard for our anniversary. It’s an insane combo that I use constantly! RDP into a remote VM and you forget you have an iPad.
nice place, havent watched a vid of yours since casey left. also i would be interested in the 3min tiktok of ur supreme collection, but maybe upload it also to youtube as a short?
Your video just came up and I really enjoyed it. Why? Because I was born on the lower east side in 1940. In 1959, I worked for Fiduciary Trust Co. at 1 Wall St. So - I'm familiar with the area. As someone else mentioned - a room without a window is a foyer. But - u 2 guys lucked out on the apartment and location. I liked ur IKEA furniture, table with unmatching chairs - and art work - very manly with clean lines -- I hate clutter. The apartment that I was born on was Lewis St (that street doesn't exist anymore) - corner Stanton St. - a couple of blocks to Riverside Drive. It was a 2- bedroom with a good-sized kitchen. Rent was around $25/month. Enjoy ur new place and mazel tov. Sandy in Calif.

Just come across your channel recently, really enjoying the content. I seem to recognise you from Casey Neistat videos. Didn't you take over his studio when he moved to the West Coast?
Fam congrats on this place which is such an upgrade from the last place you were at. All that hard work paid off.
thank you daniel appreciate the continued support
Your apartment looks great! What a steal for $3600 in the financial district!🤩
Fi-Di has been one of the cheapest areas per sqf for a while. That apt never cost $5000. Actually even 3600 is slightly overpaying. But hey.
@@baandoptager does that rent change after the first year?
@@rocketman3770 It sure can

Shoutout to Mark for all of the amazing art in our apartment!
Doron is an interesting name. Where is your branch of the family from?
It’s always a surprise when Sam uploads a new video.
You made it, nice house Sam

‘’NYC is the best city in the world for sure 🥲”
Aiwa! Man, I remember when those were like the system that everyone wanted!
Love that you're still rockin the vinyl. But what do the neighbors say when you jack up that amp?

I like the "it's a just a bathroom nothing fancy" and then I see the shower head and I gotta say that's kinda fancy. lol. 01:23
Awesome to see you upgrade from the small apartment I saw you make UA-cam videos on your balcony
Thanks for watching and I appreciate your kind comment.

About to watch but this title is GREAT.
I'm glad that the taco cat shower curtain and the Aiwa speakers still living (:
you remember!
Just to understand: including Sam, there are already 4 Sheffer brothers?
I'd love a place like that.
I'm so glad I left NYC
Great place. As someone who lives in a rural area, I'd spend all day on that rooftop looking down upon the city.
We love Sam being proud enough of his pad to warrant a longer video :) No more tetris stacking closet skills
hahahahahaha
The Genndy Tartakovsky poster, gifted by Josh Topolsky is very very cool.
Wow that is a genuinely amazing deal for $3600. Congrats!
Still have my aiwa speakers and there great 🤙🏼
Great deal!!
Need a supreme video bro. Also, would you ever sell anything you don’t use anymore? Bc I’m interested in a couple things.

Great tour! I’d love to see a video filmed up on the roof 👀
The grow up, the glow up!
Hope ya got some good concessions too, heard they were 3 months in Jan 2021 👍🏻
Josh is so DUCKING cool, that Dexter's lab poster is sick
For that price is a steal plus two bathrooms that is a win-win in my books. Can’t go wrong with Ikea furniture.
I’d like a video with your brother explaining his guitars and just playing
$3600 a month, wow NY is sooooo expensive, so cool though
it really is an amazing deal for a 2 bedroom in FiDi though
This is considered CHEAP for nyc.
So Sheffers like to collect things. 😂 I love your videos. IKEA should sponsor them.
pretty dope sam, NYC pricing is crazy even compared to London
The price is a deal considering how big the rooms are and living space. A Two Bed and Two Bath in that neighborhood with all of that space is awesome.
Good to see you and Jerome settled in a bigger apartment where u have space and the appliances aren't compact
doron* but yes thank you!
Rich Schlomoo's living in NYC, what a surprise
nice house man 😊
That apartment is enormous for the rent u guys pay in the financial district!! That is absolutely unheard of
Supreme, Mark Samsonovich, Daft Punk on the record player. The total experience
Dance Gavin Dance 🤩🤩🤩

thanks for the shoutout man
Would love to see an SF take on this now you have moved!
Are the amenities included in the rent or is there a separate charge?
Should I buy the 11 or 11 pro or 12 or 12 pro next year in 2022 any suggestions anybody as I’m gonna be upgrading from my iPhone se 2020?
Isn't it not legal to have a bedroom without windows? Or is your bedroom just partitioned with a flex wall to make it ok?
Very Nice! Thanks for the tour. I'm in Hell's Kitchen, but work in that area. It's a very convenient location to BK, Midtown, etc. 😀
In my opinion FInancial District is the best place in NYC to live. Close enough to any good neighborhoods yet quiet.
Is that a Michael Meyers pillow??
A bedroom without a window is not a legal bedroom in NYC.

Dope man, this looks great but man NYC is expensive lol
