Not going to lie, this is kind of dope. We are living in the future.
I've tried it in person at MWC and it's shit. Unresponsive and UI is garbage. Does not work as a phone at all, they just had to get the product out there. I have to admit though, the way the screen flexes is pretty cool, but it feels shit and fragile.

Honestly, most of these things like this smart watch/phone is only being made by companies like Nubia because they have a very small audience and little to no attraction due to its lack of use. I don't see the Nubia Alpha being productive at all.

In Europe its 450 EUR in black and 550 EUR with eSIM and 650 EUR in gold with eSIM. I guess pricing will be similar in the US (don't forget that prices in Europe already include VAT).

I can see a strong usage for this. I think a v.2 or v.3 would be better refined. I can see it being used by Law Enforcement, Military, Exploration etc. Where having a tablet, smartphone or laptop would be cumbersome. It just needs broader functionality and refinement
I think many people will use this as it is sometimes tiring to carry a big smartphone all the time. If i had this i would leave my phone in car and walk around

You should do a lineup of the top smartwatches, and which phones to use with them. IE: Apple watch with the iPhone, Gear watch with the S10, and whichever works best for the Pixel, and Huawei. I've been looking to get a smartwatch for months now, but I have a Pixel and the only decent watches I can find to use with it are dated, and lose features when paired with it. For that reason I've actually been thinking of switching to the iPhone as my next phone, and hop back on the Apple train for simplicity.
I haven't used an iPhone since the 4s back in highschool. The whole "Android is more customizable" is only a good argument for people who actually use it, and have time to make all those changes. A lot of people use the "It's more customizable" argument, yet they never use any of the differentiating features from Apple. They just use it like any other phone. In the 8 years I've been on android, I've not once went through everything and tried to make changes beyond the basic wallpapers and theme settings.
a nifty concept if nothing else. maybe one day someone will convince me to put a watch back on after having a smartphone.

I think this is more likely to be the future of phones than the foldable phones. I will buy this or one like this as my next phone.
I would have loved if it had the interface of an actual smartphone, like using G-Mail and Hangouts and UA-cam and stuff. Now obviously they would have to get creative to achieve that but if someone does it then that would be one thing to buy. The externals are as best as they could be however.

Movie Games but it’s quirky. It’s outside the box but it’s quirky. How are you going to watch a video on it? How many app developers would actually optimize an app for it? None. It’s more of an accessory to your phone than a phone.

I think its called IS5 or just I5 than dem99 /98 it has 2.2in display biggest display and its removable so if you wanted to show a friend something you can pop it out.. best part its doesn't take a house payment to buy think the newest 1 is around $120

NOKIA had a concept like this about a decade ago. NOKIA MORPH.
Microsoft literally was doing this with the Band. And they have a whole building of prototypes that Lew just isn't going to visit.
