- The Academy of Raya Lucaria. There's so much history behind this that I don't know about. I know that Rennala, Queen of the Full Moon was imprisoned in the Grand Library due to her obsession with rebirth. For some reason, I feel like the Carian family took over the Raya Lucaria Academy & pushed out the previous scholars. If anyone has any more information on this place, feel free to leave them in the comments. Thank you.
Here is just one of the many vast & eerie vistas from the very difficult game, ELDEN RING, a 2022 action role-playing game developed by FromSoftware and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment.

As much as I get frustrated with the game, I also can't deny the amazing scenery that this game has to offer. The very eerie & gothic vibes it gives me catches my attention as I stand in awe of how enormous this game is.

What an absolutely incredible job FromSoftware did. You can scroll through this entire 2 hour video and still not find any single spot where this one exact camera angle looks the same. All the fog, the movement of the stars, the volumetric lighting, the mysterious glowing, the aurora borealis effect, the architecture, ambient music, sound fx, particles, rain and storm fx, lighting, amazingly detailed architecture, literally everything here (and im just talking about the environment itself) is SUCH high quality. I just wish every game studio cared this much and was this creative. Unbelievable work. Loved this game to death.
It was in fact even so perfectly designed that the addition of raytracing couldn't make the game look any better
The early part at the bridge between where you go through the graves with the undead enemies that grab you was honestly my favorite part aesthetically. True sense of both wonder and unease. Knowing everyone wants you dead but the need to explore. Goat of game

Crazy how its been 2 years since this game was released. Is it safe to say the base game is nostalgic already lol? Haven't played it in a while but I remember when the game came out I was recovering from surgery playing all day. This area in particular had an amazing memorable atmosphere.

very nostalgic though! I only ever played Sekiro before this so coming from that game to this open world felt like Christmas but I got like 10x the gifts lol
