It is located between Kikuyu and Kangemi.The number of residents likely exceeds 100,000. It hosts a number of public institutions including University of Nairobi, Upper Kabete Campus, Kabete national polytechnic, and AHITI Kabete. ILRI (International Livestock Research Institute) has its headquarters in Uthiru.

I am a resident of Uthiru and grateful for the video you did of Uthiru. I have seen someone mislead you about some part of Uthiru in Nairobi but their ignorance tells them it is in Kiambu county. The tarmacked side is Nairobi county. A small portion from round about to Waiyaki is in Kiambu county. But entire right side of Waiyaki way between nduboini flyover and Uthiru 87 and beyond is Kiambu county. Source Google maps.
