The Iowa class ships may have 16 inch guns and long range but there armor is small compard to Yamato and Yamato could destoy a Iowa class ship in 1 salvo with its 20 inch guns
Yamato has 18 inch not 20 inch. Iowa class has the advantage of speed and could easily turn around once Yamato is spotted if they choose to. I don’t think only one salvo could take it down
@@D.AKULA_TK208 iowa would destroy Yamato. Faster better radar bigger caliber better electronics more support. Everything about iowa was better than Yamato beside the 18 inch 45 cal guns. And god forbid if it wasn't a clear day the iowa would outrage it all day taking pot shot with the super heavy. Yamato was inferior in every way except shell diameter.
They advantage is the better penetrating power, but its a hard fight because both ships was going to have an escort, or allied battleships, aicrafts, etc.

@@D.AKULA_TK208 Am.. no. Once again, nothing here resembles anything even remotely close to how neither Musashi nor Yamato sunk. First off, it didn't take 2-3 min. Second, both broke apart on the way down. Don't remember if one or more of the ammo compartments exploded before they went under, or if it occurred below the surface. Or, if it was simply because of the immense pressure on the way down, or a combination of the two. But most shipwrecks that rests at depths deeper than 300-400 m or so I'm guessing, usually gets torn into shreds on the way down. This is because the watertight compartments that haven't been flooded and so are still holding air, will explode sooner or later when the pressure reaches their breaking point. The ships also usually gets more or less "pancaked" when they violently, at high speed, hits the seafloor.
Yeah definitely! Because it's so hard to hit a target of that size from what, 2-1 km?? And especially when it's not even firing back.. yes I'm being very sarcastic here. I mean seriously, that's practically bajonett range for a battleship.. Hah! And with that said, this just got to be the worst gameplay video I've ever seen hands down. Wtf was this even!??! And that rate of fire?? Are you f*ckin kidding me?? It's like a shot each 2-3 second per gun.. Yeeah no, it took a lot longer than that, let's just put it that way.. smh.
@@D.AKULA_TK208 Thanks for the reply! And yes, I do get that. However, a lot of this comment section doesn't from the looks of it. I.e. they understand it's a gameplay video, yet think it's quite accurate. Also, why does the game have to be inaccurate? Any special reason? Coz I thought that all of these new battle games, most of them I guess are online only now? Aim to be as accurate as possible. It seems to me that these games have at least two goals. One, to offer entertaining, intense and exiting gaming. Two, teach people about war history. Another way the Yamato could die other than air bombing the ship. We could've just sent the USS Iowa and the USS Misouri.

yamato took a beating there, US gunners were pretty acurate
Loran Rocha i know right lol
RADAR advantage
US battleships had fire control radar where the Japanese didn't.
2 vs 1, when 2 ships are better than the one
In reality, in those kind of weather/sea conditions a single Iowa Class would have been able to take the Yamato probably 75% of the time.
the yamato got murdered😂😂
