You never know what you will hear with Buckethead. Never before have I heard heavily distorted guitars and a banjo sound so good together. Purely genius
It's amazing how Buckethead's music can cause you to create a backstory. Like this one makes me think of a deliverance type story but with horrible mutants chasing you through the mountainside...
This is my favorite of the trio, mostly because it is longer and heavier, but also because it feels like the flow of the song works better. The rise and fall of the fast parts and the slower parts...and the banjo and flute additions...just all epicness. :3
This is such an awesome use of music. The ending of "In Search of..." is cool cause you know he finds the mountain, and this song is all about the guy trying to escape the mountain while being chased by a bunchy of bloodthirsty cannibals. Around the end, at about 7:30, it sounds to me like he gets caught and is carried off to be eaten or tortured or something.
Buckethead was filled with overwhelming fear, as he had never witnessed such evil. He quickly realized his only way out of this horrid place is to get back his Custom Gibson Les Paul, but where could it be? He had to get it back. His mind was again racing. He quickly remembered something. Reaching onto his pocket he found something he thought he left at home... his Nunchuks!!! He quickly ran through the zombies and bashed heads in as he ran towards the forest once more.
I learned this song on drums. All the Tom work really gave me a workout. Got a runners high when I was done. Inbred Mountain is my favorite BH album. It's got it all.
i second that as well. that's why he is regarded as an avant-garde musician. He experiments with different sounds to create masterpieces like this and not to mention others like the android of Notre Dame
this song would have fit perfectly to my escape from tennassee this january from my ex girlfriend, long live Buckethead the best guitarist ever concieved
about having a dream, waking up and then tabbing out, happened to me a while ago. I had the 'song' for about 30 minutes in my mind, but when i started tabbing out, i forgot completely. :(
As he was running he quickly came to a halt as what lied ahead made him cringe with helplessness. A precipice lay ahead of his path. He quickly turned around, only to find the boy standing meters away from him, along with his army of the dead. Buckethead moved back as the boy approched him. Then bucket fell on to the precipice. He saw the figure of the boy with the Banjo grow smaller and smaller as he fell deeper and deeper on the precipice. He blacked out...
Did you really like it man?? Well thanks man. Did you read since the beggining? I just continued from where the guy left off, but of course, making it up as i go along :)
You never know what you will hear with Buckethead. Never before have I heard heavily distorted guitars and a banjo sound so good together. Purely genius
I think its a satire for the album
just proves that metal can have all kinds of different elements and still sound weirdly incredible
6:47 woow! I love that riff! Reminds me some black metal stuff

With Buckethead, you never what what you will hear. I have never heard banjo and heavy distorted guitars sound so good together. Purely genius.

It's amazing how Buckethead's music can cause you to create a backstory. Like this one makes me think of a deliverance type story but with horrible mutants chasing you through the mountainside...

Paint the emotions you feel on the blank canvas he wears on his face.
