Hello, can you provide more information about the los coverage and what type of antenna that can be used to achieve long range
@@tubestar1979 what info are you looking for in terms of LOS coverage? For reference gps is LOS. So, it varies greatly by your environment. We have integrated sector antennas. You can check them out here: www.persistentsystems.com/integrated-antenna/
@PersistentSystems when plugging a tactical radio does the Mpu5 relay that signal to radios that are further away ( extending the freq being used) ??
You said public service radio like Motorola? Would like see that in action
Can anyone help me configure a ROIP system?
@@anthonygraeff9959 on the MPU5?
So its a way to send and receive comms on a MANET and non manet at the same time?
Any plans on supporting more readily commercial radios - especially on the DMR side - like Hytera's with RoIP? Would be great to have a field expedient MANET extend versus needing to rely on more well-established DMR network infrastructure (Brandmeister, etc.) with a PiStar hotspot?
Excellent video
Is a dual PTT required to use the mpu5?
@@DCarv-j5t you can use a different PTT but you’d be losing out on many capabilities of the MPU5. The dual PTT acts as a networked USB hub which provides data transport to the MPU. It is also the control center for changing the volume or talk groups and it is needed for many of the MPU5s advanced audio features.
Can civilians buy this?
@Kendall where
If you got the money honey... I got the tiiiiiiime $$$$$
If only the MPU5 was not so dang easy to jam. And, it ain’t type 1. Otherwise, very cool radio!
How is it easier to jam opposed to other radios? Curios because was planning on using these for data like video stream and file sharing
How is it easy to jam?
lol this guy...
Tasty
People making this type of complicated crap to make extra bucks. Meanwhile you can buy a 20$ now 18 stupid baofeng and FPP in 2 seconds. Oh ok it’s not reliable, so how about 3000 baofeng vs 1 stupid 5000$ APX series. Oh ok not digital but see New York been using old vertex for years and flawlessly. Oh shit because a system is so great and Motorola can’t make money no more, let’s talk about IP and new shit.
MANET is the future and is a self generating, agnostic network. rapidly scalable, AES encrypted, and can be deployed in minutes. No LTE, no internet, no problem. This device is essentially a router with a speaker.
