Roaring Fork Valley local here. Snowmass is great. Next time check out the hanging valley wall and burnt mountain glades. Both are very light traffic areas that hold good snow for ages. You’ll love it. Love your videos!

If you loved 3” hen you should come back sometime! Hitting Cirque Headwall and other runs like Baby Ruth when there is a foot or two of powder is something out of this world

i have been loving ur vids i am from australia so we don't get that much snow and snowmass was my first ever American ski trip and I loved it. its a really good mountain especially for families
I lived up in Snowmass in the 80's and my best ski buddy was from Melbourne. Had a great time skiing with him. Lots of great adventures. Then went and visited him after he'd moved back and skied Mt. Hotham. Great experience.

I did basically this exact line Feb 6th this year with a little less snow, went over a rock that gouged my ski to the core, still not sure if they can be repaired
Just was at Snowmass a few days ago for the first time on the 12'' inches of a powder day. It certainly was still rocky but I didn't see the rocks before I hit them due to the pow. I will say I think that it is one of my favorite resorts.
These videos keep a smile to my face. I live in the East Coast and my dream is to be near Utah or Colorado and I just want to ski someplace that is not just ice and it’s open like that. You’re so lucky that you get to ski there! 😄

i remember riding that tbar and run. i think there is another extreme track you can hike up to in like about an hour. might be on one of the other aspen mountains though.
Wow erode Snowmass all day after riding islands and hiking twice and then you drove home to Park city on the same day! That’s pretty epic man, I’m glad you got to Snowmass I’d say it’s my favorite resort if Telluride doesn’t have great Snow. I look forward to your Telluride visit but I don’t think they’re going to have the conditions that make that place glorious yet still worth a trip it’s like skiing in the Alps it’s so beautiful. Do you need to quit your job and do this thing full-time. That’s what I did, I’m just working in the summer now living in my truck camper and chasing the snow all winter. Just spent two weeks at big sky, maybe my favorite resort in the lower 48. Anyways happy travels.
thanks man! was definitely surprised with how awesome it was out there! it looks like some of the upper mountain at telluride isnt open which is totally a bummer but oh well. can only do so much with 76" base... and i wish man! not that simple when you factor in things like health insurance, 401K etc. the channel will die down quite a bit here in the next month so while its great in the winter, i dont think its sustainable as a full time gig but maybe i'm wrong.

Definitely more interesting terrain where you ski but always amazed by the lift ticket and parking prices. A lift ticket here is usually around $40-50 and parking, if it costs anything at all, $5.
@@levirichardson8505 Off-piste within the resort boundaries is controlled. Anything outside is not. Off-piste skiing was not very common in Japan until recent years so it is generally still limited at many resorts.
Hey! I’m completely new to skiing and trying to figure out what gear I should buy and what I should rent. People tell me the number one thing to purchase is proper skiing boots. Do you agree? And why? Keep it up, enjoy your videos a lot!! Cheers.
Yes boots are the most important. They deliver the most performance in my opinion and without a proper fitting boot, it doesn’t matter how good of skis or bindings you have. Skiing is so much about feel and being able to edge properly and that simply comes from your boot. Definitely buy a solid pair of boots and rent everything else!
I was there quite a few years back and I thought I took a Tbar up and footed it up to a big bowl drop in. I didn’t see that here in the vid. Is my memory off a little? Edit: at 7:55 does a lift go up there and have a place to drop in with a bunch of shoots? Man that fish eye lens makes me lose my ability as a viewer to sense drop, speed, distance etc. it honestly just a bit too much fish eye. Nice video tho dude. And tho I could be wrong. It looked like you were bombing a few different times. Awesomeness.

Headed to what I thought would be the gnarliest terrain and boy did I find it. I remember the drop took my breath away. I was a going so fast I could feel the wind slowing me down. Best experience On a board I’ve ever had. That’s why I was searching UA-cam for the drop in zone.

Wow, that was awesome! Seems like such a fantastic mountain to have not that many skiers. A hidden gem I suppose. As always, the level of skill was very impressive! Keep ‘em rolling, weekend warrior!
I skied there in 1972. Coors beer was actually good back then. The first day it was a little icy because it hadn't snowed in a week. They were offering a partial refund if you turned your ticket in by noon because of the conditions. (Who does that?) The ticket was $50 for 6 out of 7 days, or $8 a day. It's so big (like Jackson Hole) they need to close lifts down progressively so Ski Patrol can do sweeps. The Big Burn is my all time favorite cruiser.
Awesome that you got some fresh snow, was at PCMR last weekend and still nothing. Beautiful bluebird days and decent conditions but crazy that there's still no snow. Good work on getting the link and discount code up for Zipline, hopefully it will drive some business and in return help you to grow your channel. Montec should be next since you're always decked out in their gear too. P.S. Tried finding that Melinda's hot sauce you always use while I was there but no luck. lol

Hey man. Awesome content. I just got a GoPro max and I see that’s what you helmet mount. Do you film in 360 mode with it helmet mounted? I find when I do, I’m getting a lot of helmet in my shot and I have to really adjust the cam when editing. Is that how you do it also? Thanks man
yes i use 360 mode! definitely a lot of reframing and adjusting to keep the helmet out in editing and even then it makes an appearance in the frame haha
Skied here 2/11/2022, thought I would die!! I was told would be just some black runs. There were rocks,twigs, steep and heavy snow and chute like runs. That was my first and last run for the week!
Gotta head to Hanging Valley go ski Baby Ruth Possible then headwall and cut far right to ships prawl grew up skiing Aspen Snowmass know it like the back of my hand
Paying for parking always sucks, but keeps you off the bus. With $20 for Solitude, $30 at Snowmass seems in line. But watch out at Steamboat, $50 on weekends makes the bus a real option.

my husband hit a rock in SnowMass and tore out an edge, not repairable. Ended up getting new skis. Love Snowmass but there are so many rocks!

I just keep batteries warm by keeping them in my bibs close to my body! Other than that, stuff just goes in my backpack haha

Hutchinson alley was steep as hell! Was it steeper than any of the cirque runs in snowbird?

Hey man. Awesome content. I just got a GoPro max and I see that’s what you helmet mount. Do you film in 360 mode with it helmet mounted? I find when I do, I’m getting a lot of helmet in my shot and I have to really adjust the cam when editing. Is that how you do it also? Thanks man
yes i use 360 mode! definitely a lot of reframing and adjusting to keep the helmet out in editing and even then it makes an appearance in the frame haha
Skied here 2/11/2022, thought I would die!! I was told would be just some black runs. There were rocks,twigs, steep and heavy snow and chute like runs. That was my first and last run for the week!

Paying for parking always sucks, but keeps you off the bus. With $20 for Solitude, $30 at Snowmass seems in line. But watch out at Steamboat, $50 on weekends makes the bus a real option.

DUUUUUDDE $30???! Should have just parked at Rodeo Lot. Shuttle bus from Rodeo Lot is super easy. I would have spent the $30 on parking at Aspen Highlands. Hindsight is 20/20.
