You guys do a great job together. I love your approach to each weeks "Come follow me" Life is good and I hope Ganel-lyn's hand will heal quickly so she can get back to ALL the many things she doing. THANKS AGAIN......
I love that thought of WHY are we obedient and the purpose behind it. Often we can get into habits of doing the good things we do, but it really is important to understand the why. My why is to become closer to my Savior and I do that by striving to follow Him and His ways each day. I feel more connected with Him as I do. I need Him in my life. He gives me the strength, hope, and peace to move forward. That’s the why for me behind my obedience. 😊 Thank you both so much for adding light to my week!! I love and appreciate you both so much!!! ❤❤
Thank you for your lessons each week. I love them. I feel of your spirits. You bring the spirit into my day. I'm so grateful for you both! Is there a way to get the quotes you shared from Elder Uchdorf and Mother Theresa? Please?
I have kept a gratitude journal for several years, just really grateful for ordinary things like a home, friends, the gospel. Your lesson today makes me think I "should" be expressing gratitude more for my trials and physical pain. My hope in that would be that the difficulties inherent in those trials will not make them last even longer based upon my expression of gratitude for them. 🌷🇨🇦
This is one of your best discussions ever. Am I carrying the traits of a Pharisee? Thank you for opening the door to deep realization and reflection. ❤️
I don't think the Pharisees really followed the scriptures, I think they were very careful to follow the oral traditions from their leaders. Not everyone could read the scriptures so easily, and so the people followed the oral traditions. We do the same thing in the LDS church today: we listen to General Conference and just do what we are told, yet have no idea if this is scriptural; it is easier to be told what to do.
