Since a lot of people have commented Nothing More Annoying Than a Man, i’m going to point this out here: The talking portion was a part of the original song, but as soon as the singing part started, they swapped the song. Also, some dance’s real songs can be heard faintly in the background such as Pin Up Girls and Cowgirl. I recommend checking out the youtube channels Loomere and ALDC MUSIC, they do a ton of research into the show and songs, and they have all of these uploaded. Yup! The aldc used to use a lot of broadway sounding songs off the show (ma he’s making eyes at me, pin up girl, broadway banana) so it makes sense that a lot of the original music that was copyrighted in the earlier seasons was broadway sounding!
pretty sure Kendalls first solo bring on the boys solo was actually to bring on the men (you can hear the original song in the background of one of the rehearsal clips in the studio)
Jill said that Kendall had to swap her music the day she competed, so it’s thought that she rehearsed to a different version of the song (bring on the men) and then had to compete it to bring on the boys that we hear on the show.
I’m not sure if that was swapped or just an inspiration, but Nia’s solo to One Small Girl was originally a song from a musical called Once on this Island.
It was just inspired by the musical, but it would have been cool if she danced to a song from it because then all the solos that episode could have been musical theater type songs!

Often times i’m guessing the producers didn’t realize the song would be copyrighted, or decided they didn’t like the song that way used for the dance. Certain time though, i’m guessing they just decided to dance to copyrighted music despite knowing they’d have to change it, idk why.
They have to choreograph to the new song so it flows better. If they can't film it because of financial reasons the best option is to re block or it wouldn't make sense.

I’ll never get over not being able to Sophia and Christina Kaloudis on the show because of Grant’s disgusting behavior because they helped choreograph the Broadway Blondes number but it never aired until season 4 I believe because of the RG Dance drama
it's weird how they almost make the songs... provocative? in some cases? like with nip and tuck. the people who made this show were weirdos so i wouldn't put it past them to do that. but maybe it's to make the dances more captivating or something. but it was obviously an emotional piece about the importance of having worth in yourself and not to destroy your body. just plain odd.
