Thank you. Powerful. Convicting. This applies to me as a Christian as well. We pray for you daily - as a people, as a nation - as God would lead you, not to be captive to the US.
Christians will eventually convert to Judaism. So says the 12th Century Jewish Philosopher, Ha-Ha-Rabin, commonly known as Maimonides, who became the most influential Torah Scholar, who reshaped Judaism.
Ha-Rambam commonly known as Maimonides wrote that God is happy about the rise of Christianity and Islam because they replaced idolatery globally and that eventually all Christians and Muslims will discover all the Truth and embrace the Torah and Judaism.
Heartly Prayers to God, and confession from the bottom of one's heart penetrates the gates of Heavens and are rewarded in the same way that The prayers and Confessions of the People of Nineveh achieved forgiveness of their crimes and God withdrew His Nineveh"s Distruction dictum .
Now i really understand why all those years ago The Rebbe zl said no land should be given away. So so deep!! So incredibly insightful!! Wow!!! Thank you so much for explaining that Rabbi Jacobson.
Rabbi both of my sons were US Marines. The whole time I couldn't get a deep breath. This feels the same. My heart is clenched so tight and I'm so afraid for those who have and haven't been released. I'm afraid of what they saw, the worst deprivation of G-dless souls. Your words are uplifting during this dark time. I watched another one of your discussions where you talked about several ways in which antisemitism has its roots in so many ways using deconstruction as a methodology we overlooked perhaps the deepest wound that may never be healed. Of course you are aware of what Freude looks to parental relationships but if we really looked at the story of Ishmael we basically see from our perspective Ishmael was an abandoned child replaced by a younger brother with a different. We all know the problems that arise in situations like that, I'm just curious about how that can be reconciled. Or not. And what kind of god calls upon a people to commit murder coveting idolatry etc?
Ishmael was the son of the maidservant. He was not the intended by G-d or legitimate heir to the G-dly mission which Avraham had embarked upon, which continued on through Yitzchak and then Yaakov. Yishmael also committed idolatry and persecuted his younger brother Yitzchak, shooting arrows at him. He did not go in Avraham's ways and was not worthy of being chosen to carry out the Divine mission.
This episode is so incredibly powerful. There is so much truth to how (lots secular) Jews - many in Israel have cowered and become ashamed of who they are and the land they live in. I remember noticing how much Israel bragged about their inclusivity and their pride parades as if that’ll somehow convince the world to like them. No you’re a Jew, you belong in your land. You are different and will always be hated for nothing. Be proud and stand up for yourself. Am Yisroel chai.
Thank you. I've been somewhat naive or innocent until Oct. 7,. I knew there was a lot of antisemitism in the world but had no idea how much and how deep and virulent. Calling it a cancer in society is apt. The Jewish people will get through this though . Well survive and thrive. We always have and will now. Thank you somuch for this video!
I am a little late to hear this but am so glad to hear. Usually i have been listening to Simon (no insult or disrespect to you he was just first i came to) Blessed by both, thankful for the wisdom, heart, spirit, knowledge, love and passion. I think The Rebbi is proud you carry on, the torch/Light. Unity of the soul, one mind one soul one heart. I wish more people could avail themselves of The Book and The people. So many just listening to the everyday garbage on the TV. The brain drain and brain washing propaganda the modern colleges provide. They cannot get the eternal plan of G-d, priorities, human organization, plans and Authority. I appreciate that I can hear this and in some small way pray for Shalom in every way towards the people and land of Israel. I am not Jewish but this truth discussion helped me unify my mind and heart toward All. It seems people make judgements and assumptions way too easily. Could be plain laziness or just a desire to find the “scape goat” for misunderstood problems. One day the world will find the Lion of Judah has awoke and will tremble. Baruch Hashem Adonai.
One of our biggest challenges is coping with the staggering amount of sympathy with the Palestinians / Hamas and condemnation/libeling of Israel and denial of October 7 esp from politicians, media and academia (and much of the public)
As long as we remain united nothing can touch us. WHen we are fragmented that is our weakness. Secular Jews better remember that during Holocaust the Nazis didnt care if you wore your religion outwardly or you were assimilated. You were hated the same and marched into the gas chamber with the hasidic Jews. Israel is our land. Our biblical and ancestral homeland. It is not just a state. It is the Holy Land, the land promised to us by G-d Himself thru Abraham, Isaac and Jacob (aka Israel). Strength is admired ergo the six day war. Weakness is an avenue where our enemies can touch us.
Muslims' criterion for right and wrong is the Quran. A read of your Bible shows that most Christians and Jews have largely deviated from your scriptures. Some reformed outright to make room for progressive pagan ideologies like LGBT and feminism. You don't get to call us the children of the darkness when ur progressive enlighten countries have wrecked havoc on everyone that don't follow your unchristian liberal ways...
Re last question, i.e. victim self-blaming. There is of course a tradition of taking the blame, seeing everything happens by hashgocho protis, that it was e.g. "through our sins" that the temple was destroyed etc.,, and the nations are nothing but a tool in the hands of G-d. The Rebbe put this in a healthy perspective that takes into account all our history since then, and the expectations for a speedy redemption through Moshiach Tzidkeinu. Nowadays I think, the Rebbe's approach of this topic is the legitimate one, and guilt-tripping Jews into dejection and self flagellation already fired back in the pre-chassidic days after the era of the false messiahs
One of the saddest thing I have ever seen is Russia and Ukraine, Israel and Palestinians, the US Republicans and Democrats being destroyed by their own human souls ✡️🙏❤️✡️☪️🕎
Why Dussporah Jews dont vome now to Israel and help gight our enemies if we really are one Soul then all parts of the Soul must conttibute to its survival.
Its very nice to talk about Israel leaders mistakes in giving up the fruits of the 1967 miraculous victory. Even Menachem Begin who preached that thr Lands of both banks of Jordan belong to Israel , who signed out all of the Sinai to Egypt and promised to establish an Arab Autonomy in Hebron Jericho etc. And even after 7/10 50,000 leftists renewed their anarchist's demonstrations against Nethanyahu and for the "Two States Solution" led by Ehud Barak and Lapid. We need your help now
How do you get a Rabbi to even talk to you, no one will give me the time of day, I've been reaching out for a year!!!!!!?????? WTF! I need to be with my relatives
I'm must say that it's very hard to argue with pro pallestinian supporters. They're very intense to say the least. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to say or what to do?
20,000 palestinians wich 8000 children that are innocent died, I cry for all jewish people that suffer, and equally other people, I don't care about the state they came from, and I pray that all other people would do ❤
Also most religious people respect and appreciate the soldiers. Why knock the one religious guy who behaves badly? Is it only the Torah people we are allowed to criticize?
Why was Jeremiah killed and who killed him? Exactly, he was calling his people to repentance. Elohim has always called his people Israel to repentance and to turn away from their idolatry and unholy ways. This kid seems to be looking for an excuse to continue to live an unholy life, you can tell by his questions. I wonder when was the last time he touched the Tanakh.
I understand the Jewish sentiment. But why Israel doesn't try to understand the Palestinian sentiment. From the time of the creation of the Jewish state (or the recreation) in the 1940s, the Palestinian arabs were basically dispossessed from their lands. In trying to create Israel, thousands were dispossessed and made refugees around the world. That's a fact. They were not assimilated. They were forcefully dispossed killed murdered. Its been going on until today. Why won't they retaliate?
Read the history. Yhey were always dispossessed only when they started a war against Israel and lost. That happened many times. Read the accurate history carefully. When u lose a war u started. U lose.
Funny that u say that - there are millions of Israeli Arabs that stayed in the state and enjoy full civil rights. There is even an Arab Supreme Court justice in Israel. It was only the Arabs that wanted to destroy the state and destroy that Jews that live outside of the state. They could have enjoyed the same rights and freedoms but they choose terrorism and refugee status for generations. They rejected their own state more than six times!! They are not to be pitied. Learn the real history
@@efrzaltz3387 I am not following you. Before the creation of Israel (or recreation) Palestinian Arabs and Jews coexisted peacefully. So, I am not following your reasoning.
@@btrueeththey did not. It was somewhat peaceful but far from completely so. Also, approximately the same amount of Jewish people were expelled from Muslim countries in 1948 in retaliation for the establishment of the state of Isreal. They lived there for centuries and were kicked out like stray dogs. They weren't treated well in the new state either, yet they made the best of it and rebuilt their lives from scratch. Your point re the Rosh Yeshiva's directive- i would channel the meaning of his message just as Rabbi Jacobson was saying. When yeshiva boys are told to do teshuva that means for them to increase their connection with Hashem, which leads to veohavto lereiacho comocha!. Teshuva is never about being a victim, it's about increasing connection with Hashem. Repentance from the perspective of being a victim, a sinner is a Christian concept, NEVER a Jewish one.
