Interestingly, Shiori’s bass (strung upside down) had a broken string 30 sec before that set and a friend handed her his Vox bass (tuned differently) as she walked onstage and she raged on it having never played it before. 🫡

matt lachance The Highmarts are a great band - in some ways very much the future torchbearers of the Japanese garage scene. I’ve only seen the CD of the early recordings. I’ll ask about CD availability and ordering info the next time I see them.
